I sung as I was getting ready to clock out of work. Well I might as well tell ya that I'm Toni and I'm 18. I live in Mississippi with my mom two brothers and sister. I'm the baby. I work at Corner Market and I work my ass off to keep my own money in my pocket and sometimes it does get hard. I have two friends. Candace and Jessica and we all have this trio singing group. Our name is MS3. We have performed at talent shows and fairs but nothing to big. It's really hard to come up in Mississippi cause people don't see us as a big state. So any come up in Mississippi is a blessing. Most of the time I doubt that we will ever make it in the music business cause it gets so hard to get noticed but Candace and Jessica always tell me not to have that type of mindset and have faith. Don't get me wrong I do but sometimes I just want to give up. I'll keep my fingers crossed until something does happen to make us rise with the stars.

While I was clocking out, my co worker came to talk to me. His name is Michael.

MICHAEL: wassup Toni Tony Tone?

He's always joking with me cause I sing and I sing in a trio group.

TONI: nothing, about to leave this hell hole..

MICHAEL: lucky you, I close tonight..

TONI: hopefully one day I make it in the biz so I won't have to do this anymore..

MICHAEL: gone be hard work but I believe in you cause you have a voice that the world needs to here

TONI: thank you... I'll see you tomorrow

MICHAEL: alright, keep your head up lil bit ..

TONI: I'll try ..

He left out getting back to work. I was getting all of my belongings when my phone started buzzing uncontrollably. I looked at it to see Candace calling me.

TONI: hello?

CANDACE: TONI!!!!!!

She said loud that I had to move the phone off of my ear.

TONI: why you so loud?

CANDACE: forget that! Where are you?

TONI: bouta leave work..

Then she hung up. I looked at my phone confused as ever then put it back in my bag. I left out the store and waited for the bus. As I waited I started humming some songs me and the girls wrote together then out of nowhere a car came speeding in front of me. It stopped and I seen Candace and Jessica looking very anxious. I widened my eyes at them then they both yelled ....

" COME ON!!!! "

I got up and rushed to the car. I got inside and looked at them both as they turned around looking at me very creepy.

TONI: okay let me out ..

JESSICA: okay guess what?!

TONI: what?

JESSICA: okay you know my daddy has a lot of connections through people..

I nodded my head.

JESSICA: he got us to be on a radio station and he's waiting to see if we can perform at this big party that tons of celebrities are going to be at!!!!

My eyes widened then we all just started screaming.

TONI: HOW DID HE- WHO DID HE- ?
