I was infatuated by him.

I mean how could I not be? He was the life model in my art class for crying out loud, I had to analyse every naked inch of him. His beautifully grey eyes stared blankly up at the ceiling as he posed. His breathing was even, controlled. The muscles in his stomach tensed every so often as he breathed. His shapely jaw was tilted upwards causing a shadow to cast a V over his neck ending between his collarbones.

I knew his name was Eddie from the various times our teacher had asked him to change pose. His medium length brunette hair was tied into a bun at the top of his head today. I glanced at my friend Miranda standing with the easel behind him eyeing him as she sketched. But then I caught her gaze flicker to his butt and she smirked up at me. Trust Miranda.

I however had the front view of him. We had three hours for this session, our media used could be whatever we wanted. I decided on a sandy background with black and white chalks. I'd drawn every inch of him focusing on the sharp crook of his nose, outlining his cheekbones, flicking in the dark shadows of his thick eyebrows. I loved drawing male figures opposed to women. Not for the obvious reason but the ridges and muscles of a mans body was more of a contrast to draw.

Eddie had been coming here for four weeks now and each session he would leave fifteen minutes before it would end. He never cast a glance or spoke to anyone. He showed no interest.

I spoke to him, well once. He was wandering the room after he'd dressed the first week and stared at my work for an immeasurable amount of time. "You like it?" I'd asked quietly.

He'd nodded, his grey eyes darting over the sketch of his face . "It's nice, yeah."

And because I was stupid and got nervous and socially awkward in situations like these I'd blurted out, "Is it something you'd hang up in your bedroom?"

Inside my head I'd already picked up a shot gun to commit suicide.

But he'd simply smirked and chuckled before strolling off to the next person.

It was a stupid crush really, he's probably a good five or six years older.

I let my gaze wander his body and pause at his most manliest area. I could never understand life models. How confident they could be with their bodies. I mean he was allowed to be confident. Stupidly allowed in fact.

"Well done Olivia, I love this particular area here." My very enthusiastic art teacher gestured toward his face on my canvas. "So accurate, almost like you're reading into an emotion. Yes, here. His mouth especially, how long did you spend on his mouth?"

My cheeks burnt a bright red when I noticed Miranda snickering at me. "Um, not long."

"Its extremely detailed. Lovely, carry on."

As I turned back to him I caught his eye. I couldn't even begin to express how awkward it is to catch the eye of a naked life model. Eddie could look right through me if he wanted to, his eyes were that piercing. And they didn't stray from me. Not even as I continued to examine his body to draw it.

Several times I caught his eye and each time he would hold my stare. It was just a tad unnerving.

He was the subject of my infatuation and had been for the last month. He was damn near perfect. Too beautiful. And he was still staring at me.
