I saw a dandelion on sidewalk today
Instead of observing the chaos that we've become so used to in this dying world, I saw life persisting through pavement
Instead of looking at tarnished souls who seek to find a purpose that they may never discover, I saw bright yellow bursting from a long stem
Instead of watching tainted children cry of love and the loss of it, I saw the earth's most innocent display of her beauty just before me
Instead of remembering the fear so commonly resting in our bones that mutates our thoughts to ones of toxic notions, I saw this thing many call a nuisance thrive amongst unfavorable odds
I saw a dandelion on the sidewalk today, and it reminded me what a marvelous world we exist in
