If you think demigods are fake, then good for you. Enjoy living in your ignorance, I hope it goes well for you.
If you think they're real, then you're not wrong. They are real, and I hope you can live with the horrible realization of Gods that act like children being real.
You might be asking, how do you know they're real? Why do you speak of the Gods in such a way? Well, I'm one of them of course. A Demigod, not a God.
I'm a really powerful one too, which are rare. My father told me on my 6th birthday, told me all about who he was and what I was. He's a pretty nice guy, once you get to know him, and if you forget all the past history he has with children.
Not everyone thinks he's nice. Just ask Perseus Jackson. The boy who killed him, the boy Olympus adores and the boy I can't stand. The boy will all the hero worship in the world.
