Chapter Two ~ Emerald

Author's Note

Hi everyone,

Thanks for reading this story and there's a few things you need to know.

First of all, I don't study in Holy Innocent High School (HIHS) so I don't know what time the school starts or ends and other things. Please don't complain because my school is a girls only school and this story needs a mixed school so I chose HIHS.

Secondly, I can't use my computer so I write the chapters on my phone then upload on via internet.

Last but not least ^_^, just to remind you; this story takes place in Singapore so there's alot of different languages and I may also write in Chinese. But I'll write the English translation in brackets later.

Example:

我的名字是Zhi Fei. (My name is Zhi Fei)

Chapter Two ~ Emerald

"Ring!!! Ring!!!" The wailing of my alarm clock woke me up from my slumber.

"It's morning already?" I checked the clock and found out that it was six thirty in the morning. "What? It's so early!" I pressed the snooze button and started to go back to sleep when Sapphire suddenly opened my bedroom door.

"I knew you would do that." Sapphire sighed before pulling my blanket away from my body.

"Hey!" I protested but she shook her head. "Wake up, Emerald. You can't be late for your first day in school, right?"

True, I admitted to myself. " Fine. I'll get up."

Ten minutes later, I was dressed in my new uniform. "What's for breakfast?" I asked as I walked to the dinning table.

"The usual. Milo and bread." Sapphire announced. "Mom and Dad are at work already."

"So fast?" I exclaimed. Back at our old neighborhood, they didn't left so early.

"Our house is further now since we moved." Sapphire explained.

"Oh." I looked away. When I begged Mom and Dad to move, I didn't thought of the consequences.

"We should go now." Sapphire said before picking up her dark blue school bag. I followed her actions and headed for the door.

After a twenty minutes bus ride, the two of us arrived at Holy Innocent High School (HIHS). We stood at the gate, looking at the school.

"We should go in." Sapphire said, her eyes still locked on the school.

"Yeah. It's just a school. We shouldn't be afraid." I tried to be the confident girl I always were but my words sounded afraid even for me.

Pretty soon, we were lost. "Isn't 2G supposed to be here?" I complained.

"I don't know." Sapphire said as she looked around for signs to guide us. Suddenly, she stopped and stared at something. Or someone. I turned my head and I felt my jaw dropped.

Heading our way was a tall handsome boy. His shiny black hair seemed to sway in the air as he walked. When he reached us, he struck out his right hand.

"Hi, I'm Lee Zhi Kai."
