Chapter 8: The Dream

~Tamu~

I went to my home after an unsuccessful search that revealed nothing, Solo bid me goodnight

"Goodnight M' lady."

"Goodnight Solo." Solo turned to go

"Solo wait!" Solo turned around

"I --" I love you. Come on Tamu say it!

"Yes, Tamu?" Solo said his eyes sparkling  when the moon caught them

"I- I hope you have safe travels and I will see you tommorow."

"Yeah, I - I  hope to see you soon too." He walked away, Stupid! Why did you choke up?!? I shake my head and walk inside to my home, the trees close. I fall asleep and my regular nightmare begins (or so I thought)

~Nightmare~

I was a Cub running towards my fathers voice

"Tamu! Help us!" my father yelled

"Daddy! Run! Run! Come to me!" I yelled panicking knowing whats going to happen next. I ran faster and hit the clearing. A snarl rippled through my throat at the sight of my mom and dad both bleeding and hurt as six Riders and their Wolves circled them my mom slashed the first Rider leaving a hole in his chest. She went down under his Wolf and died.

"NO!!" I yelled/ roared, it got drowned out by my dads' greif stricken roar. He killed him and then another pair, then he too was consumed by the Riders and Wolves. I couldn't stand by and watch my dad die. My mind went blank to pure rage. I slashed the first Rider, he howled and then he died, I advanced on his dying Wolf and slayed him. I killed the Wolf and slayed her dying Rider. I ran over to my dad

"Daddy? Daddy please get up! Please we have to save mommy!" He opened his eyes, smiled and patted my cheek for the last time. I curled up under his paw and leg. Then the nightmare/dream changed

I was running and I saw Lexi and Solo. Lexi was shooting arrow after arrow at enimies.

"Tamu! Look out!" Lexi yelled, she pulled her bow and arrow and shot behind me. I heard a yelp and a Wolf died.

"Thanks Lexi!"

"Anytime M' lady." M' lady? Since when does she call me that?? I thought

"You can call me Tamu instead if you want to Lexi." She looked relieved

"Oh ok Tamu. But we have a Battle to win so?" She looked at me.

"Oh, yes well lets go." I raced off and saw Oakhorn was in trouble, so I raced to his rescue. One Wolf got past his defence and I killed her just as she was about to slash his side. Her Rider clutched at his where I cut his Wolf. Two minutes later he was dead.

"Thank you Tamu."

"You're welcome my Friend." I heard a roar of pain and turned to see to my horror that Solo got hurt.

"No!!!" I roared and raced towards Solo. Then I heard a scream. I stopped and turned towards Lexi. A Wolf was running towards her. Then a Wolf ran at me. I slashed at him, he died.

"Aha! I got you now Solo!!" I whirled around and ran but I knew it was too late, the Rider, I killed him. But his Wolf slashed Solo's neck. Then I turned into a human clad in armor and held his head in my lap. Then Solo died.
