Shane asked Alicia if she wanted to go out on a date. He loves her, he really does but everything was starting to feel like fire. It burned bright, big and fast, but now its slowly shrinking, until its just a tiny little flame and eventually nothing but ash. Shane didn't want that. Alicia was too important for that. What they have is more than that.
Alicia said she was busy, and that she was sorry. Shane said he understands.
But Alicia wasn't busy, and she had no fucking clue why she lied.
