Alicia loves Shane. Shane loves Alicia. But something feels weird. When Alicia held Shane's hand he didn't feel the usual sense of giddiness he did when they first started dating. The feeling was gone. It was as if it wasn't something they really wanted to do anymore it was just like a routine now, like a protocol they had to follow.
Alicia sat on bed, then closed her phone and placed in on her bedside table. Right before she slept she realized that Shane doesn't text her "Good night beautiful, I love you" anymore in fact, she can't remember the last time Shane did, but she knows that he used to, every night. It was their thing, Alicia will text him the moment she wakes up, "Good morning handsome, I love you" every single morning and every night it would be Shane. Alicia smiled in nostalgia remembering this.
Now that she thinks of it, she hasn't texted him that usual good morning greeting in a while now as well.
Alicia wondered who stopped first.
And more importantly, why?
