Here's the next chapter of The Unknown! Sorry if the last chapter was confusing or just a bad ending but I hope this makes up for it! This part of the story is from Brody's point of view and the last one was from Anna's if you were wondering! Are y'all having a good day? haha

God, I hated lying to her.

"Anyways, after I left, I was driving behind you and my car broke down. So I had to stop and fix it, which took forever." True. My car DID break down and it DID take hours to fix. But the lies were coming. "So after I fixed the car, it was probably about three or four, and I started driving. The Tarleton's tree house had broken in the storm the other day, though how this one survived I have no idea." I smirked while moving my hands around the room. In the real story, I had gotten to the ranch, so that was a lie. Although there WAS a storm that destroyed their tree house the other day, but they had already fixed it.

"So I pulled over when Old Tarleton called me over and asked me if I could fix it, so I agreed."

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a sec." she started, placing her soft hand on my arm. I sighed and tried to make it seem angry but I was just happy she wasn't hurting me, just touching me with curiosity. "Old Tarleton was at the wedding and reception."

"Dang it." I thought, silently cursing. I recovered and replied with another lie. Who was I becoming?

"Do you think I'm lying?" I questioned, daring her with a raised eyebrow. I was never a good liar but, I guess when I needed to save my hide, I could do it.

"No Brody," she said, sighing and averting her eyes, "I think I did see him leave around then. I was cleaning, but I wasn't bothered by anyone so... sorry."

"Ah, look who's lying now. She was with that stupid Charlie character. She doesn't know him, but I'm still suspicious." I said to myself, as I looked away. I came back and matched her gaze as I started again.

"So I fixed their thing and came back, but y'all we gone. So I remembered this place and decided I might as well come clean it up too. I thought I could until I realized how long its been since we were here. I stepped onto the ring of the ladder and climbed up onto the last ring, it broke and I fell.. So.." I motioned to the bruises and breaks on my body.

She sat, gripping my arm with her mouth gaping open and peered over.

"Ah ha, I didn't even noticed that when I was coming up!" she laughed, humor jumping in her eyes. Then her face sobered and she asked if I was really okay. I nodded and patted her back.

I pushed myself, but it was hard. She ran over and pulled me up. Then she passed me and pulled me towards the drawings on the wall. Our eyes glided over the pictures and our minds sifted back to those easy times.

Suddenly, we both placed our hands on a picture of us when we were young. We both drew back and blushed, and my stomach did a flip.

A rush of emotions flowed through me, and I grabbed her by the waist and spun her to me. We were both wide-eyed; both surprised at what I had done. She averted her eyes and looked down at her feet. I wrapped my fingers under her chin and pulled it up as I leaned in for our long-awaited kiss. She blushed and turned away, contracting into her body. She sank down to the ground against the wall across the room as I cursed and kicked myself. I walked over to Anna but remained standing, leaning on the wall.

"Look, I'm really sorry. I don't know what got into me and... and, well... I don't know. Please don't be mad. Look, I'll leave..." I stammered as I pushed myself off the wall and limped to the door. All of a sudden she jumped up and grabbed my arm, pulling me close to her.

Suddenly, her lips crashed into mine while she stood holding me. I was confused, but I kissed her back while I had the chance. She pulled away and smiled.

"Now, what were you saying?" she smiled, patting my arm. Just then, rain began to pour from the sky, splashing us from the windows and leaky roof. She squealed with pleasure; it hadn't rained in a long time.

"Well, I guess we'll have to stay here over night. For once I'm glad we had packed all that stuff and hiked up here that one year! Remember? Then we got bored and went home?" I chuckled as the memories flooded back. "That stuff must of weighed at least 50 pounds for each of us!" I laughed, pulling the supplies from the closet. "I forgot about this stuff!"

We pulled out our sleeping bags to the only dry spot. Which happened to be really small, and forced us really close together. As we snuggled into our sleeping bags, I grabbed Anna's hand and rubbed it with my rough one. She smiled.

"You know, me kissing you and all, that doesn't make us..." she trailed off, blushing and pulled her hand away, averting my gaze.

"I know." I smiled, turning away from her in my sleeping bag.

"Dang," I thought as I fell into dreams influenced by the kiss and the sound of her slow breaths rising and falling next to me.

I hope you liked it! as usual, comment, vote, and fan please! Oh and help spread the word! thanks so much for reading <3
