Serena's POV

I jolted up and looked around. Barbara wasn't there. I looked outside and it was sunny. I must have fallen back asleep. I got up and headed downstairs. I find Barbara in the kitchen drinking coffee.

"You're finally up!" Barbara said, grinning.

I laughed. "Yup." I said.

She handed me a bagel.

"Thanks." I said and began to eat.

I glanced at the clock. It was 8:23 am.

"Do you work too?" I asked.

"I own an art gallery." She explained.

"Oh cool!" I said.

Barbara grinned. "Wanna come with me. I can show you around." She said.

"That would be awesome, thanks." I said, smiling.

Barbara grinned and headed upstairs to get ready. I finished eating and headed upstairs too. I changed into (the outfit above). I headed back downstairs, where Barbara was.

"Ready?" She asked.

"Yup!" I said.

"Good." Barbara said with a smile.

We headed outside and into her car. We get in and she puts on her sunglasses and puts on the radio as we pull out. Complicated by Avril Lavigne came on. I sang along.

"

Why do you have to go and make things so complicated?

I see the way you're

Acting like you're somebody else, gets me frustrated

And life's like this you,

You fall and you crawl and you break and you take what you get and you turn it into

Honesty, you promised me I'm never gonna find you fake it

No, no, no"

We get to the art gallery.

"Whoa, you own this place?" I asked in wonder.

Barbara laughed. "Yup, my dad is a billionaire." She explained.

"Nice. Wow." I said, nodding.

Barbara laughed and wrapped her arm around me and we headed inside.

"Hey Barbara." The man at the desk said.

Barbara smiled at me. "Hey John." She said, setting her sunglasses on her head.

"Who's this?" He asked looking at me.

I opened my mouth to answer but Barbara cut me off.

"This is my niece Serena." She said, looking at me smiling.

I smiled back. Pretty soon she was going be my Aunt.

"Oh cool, she looks like you." John said.

"Yeah, I can see that." Barbara said.

I nodded, even though I wasn't even related to Barbara. By blood anyways.

"I have to go upstairs. You can look around, here's my number. Call me if you need anything." Barbara said, typing her number into my phone.

"Okay!" I said, and walked off.

I turned the corner and bumped straight into someone. Literally.
