A few days later after going into town and getting the ring from the jeweler, I asked the maids to set up the beach for a diner under the stars because I was going to propose and to not say a word of this to anyone no matter who asked. I didn't want the whole palace knowing of my plan and it getting to Jax before I had the chance to ask. I was in our room nervous wracking my body as my heart rammed against my rib cage

"Have Bethany cook the food. Ask her to make our favorite she knows what they are" I said remember that Bethany was one of the many cooks the palace had and I saw him nod before existing himself and leaving. Looking at the clock, I saw that I still had roughly 4 hours to go and luckily our favorite foods won't take long to cook. I wore a navy blue suit with a white button up shirt, leaving the top three undone.

Fixing my hair one last time I deemed it good, well as good as it'll get, and left the room heading down the hall towards the stairs. My watch read 7:45, damn did I really take 3 hours to just fix my hair? Talk about vein, shaking my head, I took a deep breath and waited for Jax to get home from his long visit to his uncle, Alpha Ricker, who had demanded that Jax bring the kids over to visit stating that "I've only ever seen the kids like 3 times since you moved in with Max" so I let him go but Nick and Tony were his escorts. I still didn't trust that he would be in danger if he didn't have anyone with him and luckily he didn't protest.
"Stop pacing, you're going to put a hole in the floor" I jumped at the sudden voice of my brother who stood at the top of the stairs with Madison and the kids, rolling my eyes I took a deep breath and stopped my unconscious pacing and looked up at them
"Where are you going?" I quizzed ignoring his questioning eyes as they all descended the stairs
"Dinner, why are so dressed up? Did I miss something?" He questioned and I shook my head
"That dear brother is none of your concern" I replied making him roll his eyes before ushering his bickering children and boyfriend out the door but not before giving me one of his famous 'I'm going to find out what you're hiding kid' look that had me chuckling and then he was gone. Putting my pant pockets I took out the small blue box and inspected the ring before putting it back in my pocket upon hearing a few doors opening and closing followed by voices but I couldn't hear what they were saying
"So why am I dressed this way?" I heard Jax ask and I could practically see him with a brow raised
"Don't know, Max asked to have you dressed this way but didn't tell me why" Nick answered and the door opened letting my soon to be fiancée and friend enter with the kids following behind. Jax blinked and raised a brow up at me with a curious look in his eyes but I shook my head
