JAX'S PAST COMES TO HUNT HIM

I can see that Max is trying to win me back and I have to say that it's working though I'm not ready to let what he did go so quickly. Shane's birthday morning was filled with running and laughing children as we waited for Max to come get us so we could go to the water park.

"What have I told you about running?" I chastised when I heard a loud crash followed by Victoria's loud wails

"Not to because we get hurt" Jackson mumbled with a wobbly lip as he stood by his sister while Shane tried to comfort her as best he could but she just wailed louder until I picked her up and cradled her in my arms promising that she was alright and that she was a strong girl and that went on until she was reduced to sniffles just as the doorbell rang followed by Karen, one of the high ranking wolves of the pack, answering

"Oh hello your highness, are you looking for Alpha Ricker?" I heard her ask and walked to the lobby to see him shake his head with a small smile

"I'm actually here for Jax and his kids" he replied and she raised a brow and before she could say anything, he looked up and a big grin spread across his face making my heart flutter

"Mama look, it's Mr.Prince" Victoria gasped with a giggle making her brothers look up and beam

"Hi, Prince Max" the boys greeted

"Hi" Max greeted

"You ready?" he asked and we nodded and he smiled all the while Karen threw daggers at me but I ignored them and walked out of the house with my daughter perched on my hip and Shane holding my hand while Max carried Jackson since he had hurt his ankle yesterday while playing with some of the pack pups. They had been in the play room and Jackson said that they were playing tag and that he had twisted it while chasing one of the kids.

"How did you hurt yourself bub?" Max asked

"Was playing tag with the other kids and I tripped" Jackson replied with a pout making Max smile

"I''m sure we can find something to do while your sister and brother are in the water, hmm? Would you like to help me find a good present for Shane?" he asked making the older boy look over and beam

"Say yes, Jack, you are so good at picking me presents" Shane said making Jackson beam and nod his head while I smiled at the interaction. I helped Victoria into her seat once Shane was buckled in before closing the door and getting in the passenger's side. Once Mas got in, he pulled out of the driveway and down the street towards the water park.

"Alright, this little dude and I will be right back" Max said once he parked the car in front of the very packed water park and helped Jackson out of the car while i got both Shane and Victoria out. I nodded and held Victoria on my hip while holding Shane's hand in my other one.

"Where should we meet?" I asked

"Here, it's not that far from the gift shop, we'll be there in about 10 or so minutes" He replied pointing to the map and I nodded before leading Shane to the pool

"I'll bring in the other things before heading over to the pool" he added before we parted ways, and once more, I nodded before leading Shane to the pool area of the park.

"Mama do you like Mr. Prince?" Shane asked making me smile and nod my head

"Is he your mate mama?" Victoria asked with wide eyes and I nodded again making both of them beam

"Is he going to be our daddy?" Shane questioned and I gave him a small smile

"I don't know bubba" I replied making him frown
