Addison and Nathan laid in nothing but their underwear under the sheets for a while after their sexual venture. Silence was all that was needed at that point. Addison couldn't get past how amazing Nathan had felt. As Nathan dozed, she couldn't help but run her fingers around his facial features. She giggled lightly when he scrunched up his nose and then woke up.

“Hey...” He said in a sleepy voice. He propped himself up on his arm and let Addison fall back onto the pillows beneath their heads. Nathan pushed the sheets down to just below her bra. He traced circles around her collarbones with his fingertips. She laid there staring at his face. He looked like he had something on his mind.

“What are you thinking about?” She asked him. Nathan kissed her softly on the lips.

“About how amazing you really are.” He told her. “I was thinking… Can I take you out tonight?”

“You mean out, like on a date, out?” She asked him smiling. Nathan nodded. “Of course I will.” Her heart skipped a beat. Things were changing quickly between them. She didn’t know what to think about it all so she chose not to think for once. Why not embrace it all.

Nathan stood leaning back on his car, waiting for Addison to come out of the house. He couldn’t shake the nerves building up inside of him. How do I tell her that I love her? Why would she believe me after such a short time? He kept wondering. After an afternoon of running around and arranging things for their date, he hoped that he’d come to an answer on how to let her know but the idea never presented itself. He was hoping that the date would lead them to an opportunity where he’d be able to let Addison know of his feelings.

Addison came out of her house, dressed in a backless emerald green dress that hugged her curves in all the right places. She twirled for him and then made eye contact with Nathan and couldn’t help but laugh when his jaw dropped. He looked handsome with his white dress shirt and black pinstriped dress pants.

“Wow.” He said.

“I know.” She told him but regarded her comment toward him. They jumped in the car. Addison found herself feeling like she was right at home. She grabbed Nathan’s hand and put it on her thigh as she ran her fingers over his hand and smiled contently to herself.

Nathan couldn’t help but look at her. Addison looked incredibly beautiful, most importantly, she looked really happy.

“I couldn’t help but notice that your smile hasn’t left your face since we left your place.” He told her. He was glad to see her smiling.

“You have that affect on me.” She whispered loudly to him. Nathan laughed lightly. He realized his nerves had disappeared. He couldn’t help but smile back at Addison.

“I noticed something about you earlier.” She began to tell him. “You seemed nervous as I walked out of the house earlier.”

“Really?” His voice was a little higher than normal. Addison nodded and smiled warmly.

“You were fidgety. I thought it was cute.” She confessed. “Nathan?”

“Yeah?” He asked softly.

“Things have changed and are different for you now, aren’t they?” She asked him and somehow lost her smile but her eyes still twinkled. Nathan saw that he didn’t need to create the opportunity. She just did it for him. Nathan nodded and grabbed her folded hands across the table.

“Yes Addie, things have changed for me.” He began but kept holding her hands firmly. “But I wouldn’t change them.” Addison stared at him. Her smile returned. The waiter showed up with their food. They sat in silence as they enjoyed their meal.
