We arrived at Madison Square Garden. I was so nervous, this was going to be the biggest night in my career. We went in, and did our Meet and Greets. I decided that tonight I was going to sing some songs by Selena. I hope that Demi doesn't mind though. Demi did sound check and I just practiced in my dressing room. Our tour manager walked in and told me, "You're on in 5" I quickly applied my makeup and headed out.


"Hellooooooooo New York City" I yelled into my microphone. "Did you know that, when I was a little girl, New York was my all time favorite place to visit?" The crowd yelled in excitement. "I loved walking in the city lights at midnight, hand in hand with my beautiful mother." I smiled "Ugh I miss my mom. I remember when I was about 15, I actually came to see a concert here, in Madison Square Garden." Tears started to form in my eyes. "It's so amazing to think of how far I've come, and I never knew that I'd be able to make it this far. Especially opening on tour with my idol, Demetria Devonne Lovato." I said and smiled. The crowd went crazy and I saw a beautiful girl with big brown eyes smiling in the crowd. Demi. She was watching me, shit. I have to e perfect tonight. I was going to dedicate the next song to Demi, but of course I'm not saying out loud. "Ok before I move on, I'm going to dedicate my final song of the night to a very special person in my life. I can't thank this person enough for always being there and helping me through my struggles. But this song really explains my feeling right now. I walked over and took a seat at the piano and started playing.

There were tears rolling down my face as I thought of all the memories of Demi. I looked at her and saw tears and she still looked shocked. I quickly looked away, said goodnight to the crowd and walked off stage.


I ran into my dressing room crying as I thought of Demi. I stayed in there for an two hours while Demi was performing. I finally decided to go out and watch Demi perform. I walked out and stood in front of the stage. Demi smiled when she saw me standing there. I smiled back and she looked away and began speaking, "Right now, just for you guys, I'm going to sing a BRAND NEW song."

Confused, I walked on stage and leaned in, whispering in her ear, "What are you doing?" She answered, "You'll see" I stood back, still confused. "As you guys know, my friend Jennifer Brooks, here, is opening up for my tour. She has been amazing to me. She is the most important person in my life right now, so I'm going to dedicate this song to her right now." I smiled and looked away, trying to hide my blush. Demi leaned over and whispered, her hot breath against my ear, "Tale a seat." I looked over and saw a chair so I went and sat down.

My mouth was hanging open and tears were in my eyes. Did she really just sing that to me?

"Jennifer could you come over here?" She asked and I walked over.

"Demi what is it?" I asked. "Well, to start off. I miss you Jennifer" she said, fully aware that she's in front of thousands of people. "Jen, I love you. I've never stopped loving you. I always have and always will." I looked at the screaming audience and back at Demi, "I-I don't know what to say." "Don't say anything." She leaned in to me and kissed me. Thousands of sparks went off inside of me. I kissed back, passionately. Even with the whole crowd at MSG, it felt like we were the only two people in the room. She pulled away and smiled. She slowly went down on one knee. "D-Demi, what are you doing?" I asked, as if it's not obvious. "Jennifer Brooks," she said taking out a little box and opening it, exposing a big diamond ring. "Will you marry me?" She asked looking up with a gleam in her eye. My mouth hung open. I've only known her for a short period of time, but it felt like forever. "Yes." I squeaked out. She stood up and pulled me into a hug. She slid the ring onto my finger and smiled. "Can we do one last duet, Jen?" "Sure, Demz" I smiled happily at my fiancé.
