Maybe there's more to Harry Styles than what the media portrays him to be. What he did today was disastrous and beautiful at the same time. No guy has never went through so much effort just to get my approval.

I finally agreed to hang out with him. It's friendly after all. It's not a date, so it won't be romantic unless I think it is. It's not; therefore, no harm done.

"Wow," Hallie said. "Those were good!" The boys seemd happy. "In the afternoon," she added. "We'll work on skit and your alter egos. Now, we all earned a well deserved lunch break."

I made my way to Hallie. "Where are we eating?" I asked her. Her eyes widened. "Crap, I forgot to tell you!" she said. "Kent and I have a reservation in Providence. Sorry, Summer." Oh, great.

"It's fine," I smiled. "I'll just go get some piz--" Harry decides to step in. "She can come with me," he said. "Really, Haz?" Hallie smiled. He nodded. "Well, take care of my sister. See you later."

She left me alone with Harry in the studio. That's not bad. I mean, we're okay now. Right? Right? Right. Of course, we're okay. He just sang to me.

It was silent so I think i should break the silence. What should I say? Think, Summer. Think. Oh, right! It's lunch. I'm sure he's hungry too.

"We're do you want to eat?" we both asked at the same time. He laughed. "I don't know California as much as you do," he said. "You should pick."

"I'm fine with anything," i said. "Just not fancy. I've had enough of those with my parents. It's kinda weird." He nodded. "You want to go to the boardwalk?" he asked. "Sure," I said.

The Venice beach boardwalk wasn't far from the building. It was just 3 blocks away so Harry and I decided to walk. As we were about to leave, he put a beanie and shades on.

"What's up with that?" I asked. "Disguise," he said. "I don't want to be mobbed. Not today." I chuckled. "Aren't the other boys coming?" I asked him. He shook his head.

"Niall, Liam and Zayn are looking for familiar restaurants. Louis' picking up his girlfriend from the airport," he said. "Well,' I said. "Um, thanks for staying with me here."

"It's the first time I heard you thank me," he smirked. I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, Harry," I said. "Let's go eat. I'm hungry."

We made our way to the boardwalk and I was greeted by the familiar scent of the carnival and stuff. I love it here. Back in the High School days, Loraine, Alice, May, Bob and I would run around like children here.

"There's a snack bar there," Harry said. "You want to grab some lunch and we'll walk?" I nodded. We both walked to the snack bar. "I'll take Cheeseburger and Coke," Harry told the cashier.

"Um," I looked at the menu. "make that two." Harry gave me a weird look. The lady gave us our food and Harry paid. "Harry, no," I took out a $5 bill from my pocket. "I'll pay for myself."

"Do that the next time we hang out," he laughed. I playfully rolled my eyes. We ate as we walked around the boardwalk.

We got to know each other more. I got to know and understand Harry Styles more. His parents divorced when he was young. His mom took care of him and his sister. His mom remarried.

He entered the X-Factor as a soloist but he didn't make it through. He told me it was heartbreaking but it made him stronger, and now, he's Harry. Harry Styles of One Direction.

They didn't win the competition, but Uncle Simon offered them a record deal. Their albums, concerts, whatever. All sold out.

"That's amazing," I said in awe. "Hearing your story from your point of view, not from the media." He chuckled. "The media's crazy," he said. "Tell me about it," I agreed. "They make all those stupid lies seem real."

The media made womanizer Harry seem real, but he's actually a good person. Now, I really feel bad for googling him and jumping to conclusions. I should've given Harry a chance when he wanted to be my friend before.

"You alright?" he asked me. "You seem to be thinking hard." I looked at him. "I'm sorry for being a rude bitch to you," I said. "I shouldn't have judged you so quickly. I should've known better than to listen to the media." He smiled.

"All is forgiven, Summer," he said. 'Besides, at least you don't think I'm a bad person now. And I can't blame you for listening to the media. Your whole family's in Hollywood. Nothing seems private. Nothing seems real.'

Wow, Harry's such a deep guy. He's so sweet, nice and considerate. No wonder why a lot of girls are all over him.

Now that I think of it, why does he want to be my friend? I'm no one special. Not all people notice me. I'm usually invicible. I'm not a famous actress, singer, model or whatever. I'm a nobody.

"You're doing it again," he said. "Thinking hard." I looked at him and laughed. "Sorry," I shook my head. "I'm just not used to guys talking to me, or noticing me." His eyes widened.

"Are you kidding me?" he said. "Those guys are idiots. You're very nice, good, you're very talented and... beautiful." I blushed. "They're damn stupid for not noticing you," he said.

"Thank you, Harry," I said. "I guess I really thought  wrong of you. You're such a great person. Anyone would be lucky to know you. I guess I'm counted."

"That's good to know," he said. "And I hope we can be good friends, Summer." I nodded. "I hope so too," I told him.

He looked at his watch. "We should go back to Brown," he said. "Lunch will be over in 15 minutes." I agreed. "Yeah," I said.

We walked together, and it felt really great. Harry Styles is actually a better person than the jerk people think he is.
