Chapter 9;

Kate p.o.v

It's been about a week since Eric and I last saw each other. He's been busy with a meeting and a concert overseas, Norway I think, and photoshoots here before he left. He'd had to leave a few days after our last date and meanwhile I've been working, trying to keep my mind occupied.

Despite not being together for long at all, I really didn't want him to go.

Eric's been really sweet - he told me that he didn't want to rush me, especially after Josh, but he asked me to come and see him off at the airport.

He'd told me that his family were travelling over to his hotel for a few nights and that they'd see each other, so I knew he wouldn't be too lonely. As well as that, we've been calling and texting each other constantly.

It's still weird to think that he's getting more and more well known, here and abroad. It's so surreal but when I'm with him, he's so down to earth that's it's hard to actually believe he's 'famous'.

I'd met up with Ali a few times and she'd demanded every little detail, although there wasn't a lot to tell. She said you could tell how much I care about him already.

I was now at dinner with my parents who are still trying to fix me up with Harvey.

"So darling, Harvey appears to like you." mum smiled hopefully. Oh, why do parents have to get involved in thier children's love life?

"He's really not my type, mum. And besides, he's really arrogant." I sniffed.

"But sweetheart, he's well respected!" Dad laughed lightly as if be was joking - I knew he wasn't really.

"Can we please just leave it?" I begged. It's so hard not to shout at them "I'm seeing the one man you will never approve of" but I somehow manage not to.

"Are you already seeing someone then, darling?" Mum sounded thrilled, even though I hadn't actually confirmed anything yet.

"Well ... maybe. We've seen each other a few times but we're just seeing how it goes for the time being." I told them. Granted, I wasn't going to tell them everything, but I wanted to be as honest as I could in this moment of time.

"Do we get to know his name, or meet him?" dad asked.

"He's-he's away on business, actually." Not actually a lie. I replied, moving away from the subject of his name. Although I wasn't lying to them, I wasn't about to tell them that - they'd know instantly that it was him as we didn't know any other Erics.

Oddly, the rest of dinner passed without any further questions from my parents. We spoke about everything and anything, other than Eric - thankfully.

I headed home quite late, really not looking forward to work tomorrow, but far more than just a little bit excited to be meeting Eric at the airport. His flight's coming in at 7.27pm, so I was leaving to meet him right after work.

I was just getting changed into my pajamas in my bedroom when my phone went off. I picked it up and didn't even look at the id before awnsering - I knew who it'd be at this time of the night.

"Good evening, beautiful :) I'm just off to bed and didn't want to wake you up but I just wanted to say goodnight. I'll see you at 7.30 tomorrow - I can't wait :) xxx"

I managed to fall asleep much later than I should have that night, far too excited to sleep.
