Chapter 12;

Kate p.o.v

Eric was still fast asleep when I heard his phone ringing. I carefully got up, trying not to wake him and managed to find it, in his trouser pocket.

It was still only fairly early - we hadn't wasted a lot of time earlier. It was just after 10pm, but after a hour or two's sleep, I was wide awake.

I slowly managed to get up, noticing the ache in my muscles from our activities but not minding too much as I was still in a happy bubble.

Just as I picked up his phone, it stopped ringing - damn it. I unlocked it and the missed call list told me it was J and a few seconds later, he left a message.

I didn't mean to look at it, but I saw my name a few texts earlier and thought it might have been important, plus I was instantly interested. I scrolled up a bit, and couldn't help but smile at their conversation.

"Dude, is Kate over again tonight?"

"No, I'm going to hers so you have the place to yourself."

"Oh, you hoping to get lucky? ;)"

I read Eric's text and my heart tugged. "J, I've told you that I'm waiting for her to be ready."

"Aw, you're such a gentleman ;) sounds like you've got it bad, man."

"Yeah, I really do :)" This one was minutes before he'd picked me up.

J's reply just now read "Can't lie -I'm happy for you :)"

"Kate?" I heard a sleepy Eric ask. I smiled as he looked at me from the bed.

His hair was sticking out all over the place, his eyes were only just open and his normally sexy voice had the added bonus of being gruff from sleep, not to mention all the shouting and screaming we did earlier.

It was very hard to look away from his bare chest as he sat up and ran a hand through his hair, making his muscles more defined.

"Umm, your phone rang so I went to awnser it. It stopped before I got to it but it was J. He left a message." I told him as I went to sit in bed next to him, handing him his phone.

"Did-did you read it?" He asked nervously. I leant over to kiss his cheek, which I felt was very warm - he's blushing!

I nodded. "He said you're a gentleman." I could feel the grin on my face as I pulled away.

"I didn't want to rush you." He told me as he placed his phone on the bedside table. He seemed to be defending himself, which was absolutely absurd - he had nothing to feel bad about!

"And you didn't." I was sat against the headboard, grinning like mad at him. He looked over at me and broke into a dazzling smile. "What happened to the beast that I witnessed a few hours ago? He's all tame now!" I joked.

"He gets tired, y'know!" he chuckled back. He sat back and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer to him.

"I can't help but think, though ... No, it's stupid. Forget I said anything." I shook my head, deciding it probably wasn't wise to talk about this.

"What is it?" he asked, tilting his head to the side as he gently took my face in his hand.

"Well ... it's probably stupid but I-I." I took a deep breath. "I don't want you to think less of me." I blushed, trying to pull away.

He didn't let me go as he spoke. "Why would I?" he worried.

"Because we slept together after only two weeks."

"Really? Of course I don't think less of you!" I looked in his eyes and saw only a genuine guy. "We've known each other for years, right?"

"Yeah." I replied, confused as to where he was taking this.

"That's long enough for me to know that you are far from that sort of woman. All the time I've known you, you've had one long term relationship." he smiled, kissing me gently.

I grinned, deciding that no more needed to be said on the subject. "So, you've got it bad, have you?" I smiled hugely, unable to stop myself.

"Really bad. I love you, Kate - I have to say it. I think I have for years, if we're being honest." He blushed again. I grinned up at him, turning so I could kiss him.

"I love you more."

Things were getting heated as he suddenly pulled away. He looked down at me, stroking a stray lock of my hair away from my face and tucking it behind my ear. "Come and see my family with me. Please?" he sounded hopeful.

"To Sweden?" I pulled back slightly and gave him an incredulous look. He nodded.

"I'm not leaving for a few weeks yet and it'll only be for a weekend but I wanted to give you plenty of notice. I haven't told them yet so you don't have to feel under any pressure to say yes."

"Of course I'll come!" I laughed, connecting our lips.

"Really? Thank you, I can't wait for them to meet you." he grinned excitedly.

"Me either." I smiled as he pulled me into a long kiss.
