"Cake?"

Umiling ako.

"Juice?"

Tumingin ako sa kanya at muling umiling. Binalik ko ang tingin ko sa monitor at nag type.

"Ice cream? Chips? Choco—"

"Ayoko nga, Sien, diba!" hiyaw ko.

Itinaas niya ang dalawa niyang kamay, "Alright. Nagtatanong lang naman ako. Kanina ka pa nagre research dyan, hindi mo na nagagalaw ang pagkain mo."

"Hindi naman ako gutom." And I need to go home, ASAP.

"Come on!" Tumawa siya, "Ikaw? Hindi magutom. Oh, bite me!"

Masaya siya ngayon and he's the usual Sien right now. Sino ba ang hindi sasaya kung may bago kang nilalandi diba? Oh, wait. Let me rephrase that. Sino ang hindi sasaya sa bagong love interest. Is that any better, conscience?

"Sien, please. Manahimik ka na lang muna dyan kung ayaw mong masakal," mabait kong sabi.

"May sakit ka ba?" His tone suggested that he's indeed concern if I'm sick or not. Mabuti at binigyan niya ako ng ideya. I nodded. I am sick, aren't I? I am love-sick.

"Ihahatid na kita. Kami na ang tatapos nito. I'm done with my part, I'll do yours."

"Hindi na. Baka kung ano na namang hanapin mong kapalit kapag hindi ako gumawa."

Ngumiti siya, "You know me. Pero this time you are safe. Let's go, Mae. I need you alive when we do our testing."

"Fine!" Tumayo ako at dumiretso sa labas. Hindi ko na kailangan ng kaunting kaartehan na ibibigay niya ngayong araw.

Ilang araw ako nagdahilan na may sakit; be it sore throat, sinat, sakit sa puson, allergy, lahat na! It was to avoid the usual encounter with Sien. Tingin ko naman ay hindi niya na rin ako ganoong iniintindi kahit alam kong nahahalata na niya ang inaakto ko. And that's because he has another girl to invest his time into. And that's fine, I'm perfectly okay with it.

But then again, nothing's really perfect.

"Tingin niyo ba seryoso si Sien sa ginagawa niya ngayon? Hindi ko kasi maramdaman yung sincerity sa kanya," out of the blue na sabi ni Mariella.

"Maybe," sagot ni Aria. Jesca poked her sides. "Hey, what!"

"Show some support to our friend, duh!" Umikot pa ang kanyang mga mata. "Nah, I don't think he's serious."

"Yup!" Ten popped her P, "Plus, they're too young to get serious."

"Talaga? How about you and Jixen, then?" Nakangising tanong ni Elaine sa kaibigan.

"W-Well," napakagat si Ten sa kanyang labi, "oh come on! Si Sien ang topic natin dito, diba! Stop dragging the conversation to the rude lane, Elaine."

"If you guys are being evil, then I'll be the angel so here it goes: Stop talking about the relationships of others. Because trust me, it won't get you any," I preached. Wow.

"Edi ikaw na ang may relationship with your best friend... unrequited relationship," sabi ni Jesca sabay ang pag hagikhik ng mga kaibigan ko.

"Thank you for the loud reality check, my friend."

"You know you're always welcome."

When I'm stuck with them and we had nothing better to talk about they'd attack my current 'love' status over and over again. I'm not getting tired of it, in fact mas lalo lang akong naiinis sa katotohanan. I must be so stupid.
