FATE 2

Lenah's POV.

Staring up into bright green eyes, I found myself being pushed out of the van.

"Who the Hell are you?" I exclaimed staring at the brown-haired-beauty in front of me. Hayden just gave me a warning look before turning to walk inside, my hands clasped in his - to prevent me escaping. The woman looked down at me with a sneer, "Your worst nightmare."

I raised an un-amused brow, "Sure..." Hayden shook his head, and pushed the woman aside gently, "Mom, leave her alone." Mom? I glanced back to the lady. That was his mom!? Well I can see where he got the attitude from, but really? His MOM?

"Why the Hell is she a vampire Hayden?! When you said you had found your mate, I expected it to be a shifter like us!" She glared down at me, her green eyes narrowing, giving her a cat-like appearance, which was rather ironic since she was a -

"Are you even listening?!" His mom yelled, throwing her hands up to the sky. I stared her down, "Excuse me, but my family has been slaughtered, I found at i'm your sons mate, and now you're throwing sh*z at me!" Lips in a tight line I glared hard, hoping to some how, be a desendant of Medusa, and turn her to stone with my gaze. Unfortunately for me, my mom had just worked at a local bar called Colored Dot's.

She sneered at me again and I snorted, "Grow up," Hayden sent me a glare, before tugging me fully into the house.

I wasnt really expecting the simple yet expensive decor that I walked into. Light golden brown wood, panelled the walls and large galss windows were settled neatly in every now and again, allowing light to flood in the house. Modern-framed paintings hung every so often, sending shouts of bright colour into my sensitive eyes. A large brown staircase stood to my right, going up by the side of the wall. It wasnt like the small-holding I had first met Hayden in. This place was huge, and clean.

We stopped at what seemed to be a recreational room. A pool table was to the side, whilst a large flat screen tv covered a wall and an Xbox was tucked next to it neatly. A large black leather sofa sat proudly in the middle of the room ajacent to the tv. A checked throw hugged the top half of the couch, keeping the leather warm.

"Welcome to my humble abode, " Hayden said, throwing me a grin. A grin I found very hard not to return. His mother walked in past me, her hands on her hip as she nodded at the area, showing her approval of the highly decorated room. "Lenah." I stated, sticking out my hand to the woman. She turned around frowning, "What is?"

"That's my name." I said, gritting my teeth.

"I never asked for your name!" She snapped angrily. I sighed, I just wanted to get this over with, then I would have time to think, time to plan.

"Mom!" Hayden growled and she sighed heavily.

"Edith."

When she didn't shake my hand, I dropped it to my side in defeat, only to have Hayden pick it up and run his thumb over the blue veins on my wrist.

"Can I get you anything to eat?" He murmured. I shook my head, then a thought came to mind,

"Well, blood would  be nice. Fresh blood would be even better."
