The cool air nips at our skin

But the fire in our hearts ignited

Blue meets hazel for the first time

With laughter and tears and Christmas cheer

Sweet, Sweet December days

You accepted me into your heart

And I happily did the same

You always hated the memories this month brought

But I still put the smile back on your face

What joyful January days

Our love intensified

We were convinced we were unstoppable

I gave you my love to hang around your neck

Unaware of the calm before the storm

Those innocent February days

The battle was gruelling

I begged mama to let us be in love

Our love was too strong for her hate

The storm cleared, and we were lovers again

Such fearful March days

There were no cares

As the snow melted and flowers blossomed

I remember how you promised forever and a day

And I promised I would buy us a house for us to live

Halcyon April days

Our love had never been so strong

Forever and a day was a regular part of our vocabulary

You saw me crack under the pressures of life

You took my hand, and make me feel invincible

Invincible May days

Is this where it ends?

I’ll never forget your finals words to me; our love was a mistake

As you were sucked into a twister, never to be seen again

Those loving promises, now just filthy lies

What agonizing June days

156 days of love and trust

156 days of hatred and betrayal

You didn’t fight, you ran from the summer heat

I hope you think of me when you kiss another

And how you told me, I was the one
