While waiting for the end of the day
I watch quietly on the sand where I lay
The calm wind gently touches my skin
I look out patiently beyond the horizon with a grin
And there it was, like an unknown goddess
Descending from the sky with such hidden distress
But still covered with its beautiful colors of light
So I pull my knees to my chest, wrapping my arms around them tight
It was like a very surreal moment of time
Just like a perfectly sparkling handful of dime
Until the bright sun waves her last goodbye
I can see the light slowly fades away as I deeply sigh
And again, I set myself for another day, tomorrow
As I step up to reach the high lands and find my way home
Getting the idea that I’m on my own again and alone
While time passes, I close my eyes, and when I open them, it was morrow…

Poems of the Deep Dark Heart
PoetryThis is a collection of my poems inspired by the novels I've read. Others are inspired by completely different things. Some are sonnets, some are not, some are just out of the blue. © 24CasterXAngel1878, 2008-2012
