"You like her. Don't you ?"
Randhir was surprised upon hearing that.
"Wha...what ?" He stammered
"Come on. Don't lie." The old man urged
"No,no, no, no..not at all." He said
"Are you sure?" The old man smiled
"Ya. Sure." He laughed out
"You know I'm an old man and I can clearly understand what's going on between two people." He smiled " Randhir beta, it is seen clearly in your eyes how much you like her. It's just you aren't able to figure out. Take time and think. I'll go, I need some rest. Keep coming here"
Randhir took blessings of the man and started to think of the words spoken to him. The old man's words resonated in his ears. Was it true that he liked her ? He liked her obviously but just as a friend not anything more.
Or did he consider her more than a friend?
Randhir and Sanyukta drove back to college and reached there by evening. Randhir was still debating whether he liked Sanyukta or not. Sanyukta gave randhir a tight hug before she entered girls hostel gratefully.
Randhir came to room and tossed onto bed. Parth was sitting there grinning at his phone.
"What's up?" randhir asked
"Just Vidushi. Where had you been ?" He asked not looking away from his phone
"Parth can I ask you something?" Randhir asked. Parth nodded
"So what is love?" Randhir whispered
"Love?" Parth shouted
"Shush" randhir said
"Is it just me or did I hear Randhir shekhawat telling the word love?" Parth dropped his phone aside
"Shut up. I just need to know about it for...for a friend" Randhir made up
"Okay. what's that you wanna know?"
"Like how you feel when you are in love?"
"It's Sanyukta. Right?" Parth teased
"Noo.. Drop it. I don't wanna know anything"
"No its okay. I won't tell Sanyukta" party grinned
"Keep speaking like this and tomorrow Vidushi won't find teeth in your mouth" randhir threatened
"I'm no love expert but I can tell you this much that you would love spending time with that person you like. You could do anything for her and you find her attractive in other sense " Parth said
"Other sense? What sense?"
"I mean you feel attracted towards her. You no longer see her as friend.. You know and you get jealous too when she's hanging out with someone other than you" Parth completed
"Parth Baba bas... Enough for today. " randhir folded his hands while Parth laughed away
Randhir's POV
You love spending time with that person... I love spending time with Sanyukta
You could do anything for her... Yes I could. I had always been available for her even though I was busy.
You get jealous when she hangs out with someone else.... Do I ?
Yes I do. I can never see her going well along with Parth itself. Am I jealous ?
No I'm caring and possessive...
Attraction... What did that mean ?
Sanyukta is beautiful, pretty but... Hang on from when did I start thinking she was pretty and beautiful. I never had these thoughts before.
Am I really attracted to her ? Am I really in love with her ?

His mind unknowingly drifted to the short kiss they had encountered. What a moment that was ! He wanted that moment to have frozen.
He just wanted to be with her forever and ever
Next day morning, Randhir and Sanyukta caught up in the canteen. His heart paced faster as soon as he saw her. She smiled at him while he continued staring her nervously. He never felt nervous before in front of her. He brushed aside his thoughts naming it was merely due to his thoughts last night and nothing much.
He sat down beside her and was hawking here and there. Sanyukta laughed and pointed at another table
"See there Kaustuki... She's so nervous. I told her not to be."
"Nervous?" Randhir asked
"Yea. She's feeling so nervous in front of Jiggy... I have never seen her like that before" she laughed
"But why is she nervous?" Randhir asked
She bent forward and whispered "because she is secretly in love with Jiggy"
