“Is Jacki my sister?” I yell out.
I have been holding back tears ever since the break in at my place. That is when I noticed Jacki was gone and a note from my father saying he took my sister. That she is the daughter of my mother and his enemy gang’s leader.
“Who are you?” Jacki’s dad asks.
I get into my wallet and grab the picture of my mom and hold it towards him, “Is this Jacki’s mom?”
He looks at the picture and his eyes widen and he nods. I put it away and grab out my phone.
I look at everyone, “You all need to shut up I will answer anything you ask after.”
I then dial a number I never thought I would have to dial since my mom’s death.
{Logan’s POV}
When I saw my dad nod after she showed him the picture I went pale. I was shocked with how all the gang members listened to her.
“Put that bastard on.” She says through clenched teeth.
“Can you put it on speaker?” I hear my dad whisper to her.
She nods and puts it on speaker, “Well hello Renee.”
“Where is Jacki you asshole.” She says.
“She is at the same place you grew up in. I mean you did run away and I do not know why.” The man says.
“It is because I saw you kill my mother you prick. She wanted to get me away from you and everything you do. I am telling you this now you better let Jacki go.” She says.
The guy laughs, “Why would I do that? Why should I let the girl my daughter cares about go when she left?”
She looks at me and says, “I will move back if you let my sister go.”
Maxine walked in a little after Renee called the guy I am now guessing is her father. Adam is holding Maxine back who started crying when Renee said that.
“Oh that will not do. You want to know why Renee?” The man says.
“Why?” Renee says.
“Because this little girl is so innocent and I think she could run my gang better than you. You better not come for her because trust me when I say I will kill her.” He says before the line went dead.
She looks at my dad, “Do you have a computer close by?”
He nods and takes her to the one in his office. I laugh a little when everyone piles into the office.
“Max I need your help.” She says.
Maxine walks over to her and her eyes light up she looks at my dad then starts typing, “You know you should make your password harder.”
I look at Adam when Maxine walks back over to him.
“Did…did you just…” My dad asks.
“Hack into everything that Renee needs that is on your computer?” Maxine says.
My dad nods and Maxine adds, “Yes I did.”
“Okay I need you all to keep Maxine here. Which ones are the drivers when you do runs?” Renee says stepping away from the computer.
My dad points towards Adam and I.
She looks back at him, “I will take Adam but not Logan. I will only need one person anyways.”
My dad nods before saying, “Why can’t Logan go also?”
She walks up to Maxine and whispers something to her before Maxine looks at some of the and whispers to them.
