~They say if you love someone, set them free. If they come back they're yours; if they don't they never were in the first place.~

So that's exactly what I did. I love him, so I set him free. If he comes back, no matter how angry or sad or upset he is, he loves me back. If he doesn't, he never really cared at all and everything he ever said to me was a lie.

As I ran the last few feet to reach my house, I wiped away one of the many tears I had been crying ever since I had left that note on his car. I didn't have the guts to say it to his face. I'm a chicken. And a freak. What ever made me think someone like him could EVER love someone like me?

I got to my front door and swung it open. I shut it and darted up the stairs to my room. Thank goodness no one was in the living room or the kitchen or else the questions would be firing. 'Serenity, honey, what's wrong?' 'What happened?' 'Why are you crying?' All those would just make me cry harder.

I collapsed on my bed and cried myself to sleep even though sleep probably wasn't what was best for me at the moment.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was in a field full of beautiful daises. I was standing in a beautiful white dress. When did I change? Where did I even get this dress? Maybe it was on sale at Forever 21. Who knows.
I sat down in the beautiful place and bent down to smell the daises. They smelled fresh and looked flawless and innocent.
I don't know how I knew but I sensed I wasn't alone. I looked up and all the way on the other side of the field stood Connor looking as cute as can be. He reminded me of the daisy I just smelled. Flawless and innocent. All of the wrong doing was my fault. I stood up and smiled as big as ever.
"So you really are mine," I said under my breath.
I saw him smiled all the way on the other side. I started running in slow motion, as did he. We met in the middle with a passionate kiss. He had never kissed me like this before. Electricity was running throughout my veins. I don't even think my heart had to still be beating to keep me alive.
He pulled away and smiled. I smiled back.
"I've missed you, my love," he said taking my hands.
"As have I," I said. "I love you so much you don't know."
He smiled and opened his mouth to respond, but nothing came out. He stood like that for a few seconds before snakes and the "darkness" came out. His eyes melted away and his hands started twisting my arm.
"Connor, you're hurting me," I said. "Ow! Connor, STOP! Please!" I whined.
I blinked.
I was no longer in a field of daises. I was in a dark alley with many dark streets that probably have gangs each and every which way you turn. It was freezing there. I looked down and I was still in my dress from the daisy field, but instead of it being white and clean, it was tattered and ripped to shreds and might I mention stained with dirt and blood.
I turned around and there he stood, his back hunched over and he was breathing heavily. He had this look in his eyes I had never seen from him before: the desire to kill me. He walked towards me slowly. As he did that, I walked backwards. My heart was racing a million times more than I ever knew was possible. I could see my breath every time it escaped my mouth every second.
"Connor," I said. "What are you doing?"
No response. He continued walking towards me.
