you were running in the annual city2surf race for the first time and to be honest you were sh**ing yourself!

you were in the middle leg now and everything was going fine, you had a good pace going and weren't hurting or in pain. but that quickly changed

you tripped over something and went flying into the ground, your hit the concrete managing just to stop your head smashing against the ground, you had a extreme pain in your leg where you had gone over on your foot.

" f**k!" you winced in pain

" are you alright?" you heard a gentle voice say and you turned to see a pair of sparkling brown eyes meet yours, all the pain suddenly left your body

" um, yeah I'm fine now" you say

he held his hand out and lifted you up " are you sure you hit the ground pretty hard!"

" no, I'm fine thank you" you say still not able to get over the hotness of this man, he had brown curly hair and a smile that was just infectious!

" I'm dean by the way but you can call me deano"

" I'm (Y/N) " you say

" are you sure your ok to run?, I'll run with you for a bit if that's ok just to make sure your ok" deano said

" that's great thanks, its nice to have some company" you say and you start off running again, this time with a hot guy beside you!

" so deano what do you do for a living?" you ask as you run

" I'm a lifeguard at bondi beach, bit of a health and fitness nut, stuff like that, what about you?" deano asked.   oh my god he's a lifeguard! you thought

" um, I'm a ( dream job) "

" oh woah that's cool do you enjoy it?" deano asked

" yeah I love it!"

you rounded the corner and the speakers were blaring with music, a man came running past doing the YMCA as it came on

" that's one of my colleagues harries, he's a bit of a nutter...." deano said as harries did his signature laugh before running on

you carry on talking and running with deano for the rest of the run. before you knew it you had crossed the finish line and you were standing near the lifeguard tower

" um, ( Y/N)?" deano called out

" yeah"

" do you want to go for a drink tonight, the bondi bucket list?, 8 o clock" deano asked

" yeah, sure, definitely, I'll be there!" you say giving him a quick kiss on his cheek

you here a voice all of a sudden " deano's picked up a girl in less than 2 hours!, new record"

it was harries and he ran into the tower, laughing on his way. you blush and look back up at deano

" I'll see you there" you say

" see you soon" deano says walking into the tower to cheers

well he had seen you running and sweaty already with no make up and your hair all over the place... surely the only way was up!
