" hello "

" hey, is this bens girlfriend?"

" yeah it is, speaking?"

" its itchy from the lifeguard service, I'm a colleague of bens and I was just ringing to say he has been involved in a accident, he's ok but he's on his way to hospital now,he asked me to ring you"

you collapsed on the floor in shock " Accident!!, what happened?" you stammer trying not to cry

" the conditions were bad in the lifeguard challenge and one of the other boards came down and landed on his head, and it feels like he has broken he jaw, he's on his way to st vincents hospital in bondi, when you see him could you let us no how he is" itchy asked

" definitely, I'll head there now, thanks itchy" you say quickly putting the phone down and running to the kitchen to grab your bag, panic now began to set in how bad were his injurys, the board landed on his head, that could mean brain damage!, you felt the tears prick your eyes as you ran out the house to the car, you had to get to the hospital quickly.

you drove quickly through the streets desperate to get to ben quickly. pulling up at the hospital you parked the car quickly and ran in. you ran to the reception desk

" ben sutherland, i was told he was being brought here!" you say breathlessly to the receptionist

" just a minute" she said scrolling through something on the computer screen, you were getting desperate now, how long is this going to take!

" right, how are you connected to Mr Sutherland?"

" I'm his girlfriend"

" right, if you just take a seat there somebody will come out and explain whats going on shortly"

" ok thank you" you say taking a seat, you nervously start biting your nails and tapping your feet, was he ok?

it had been 5 long minutes when a nurse came into the waiting area " ben sutherlands partner?"

you stand up " yes thats me" you walk over to the nurse " is he ok?"

" I'll explain as we walk, he was hit by a 10kilo rescue board and he felt like he had broken his jaw, he hasnt luckily we sent him up for Xrays but he was very dizzy and suffered a little memory loss from the time off the incident to when the ambulance got to him. But, apart from that he is ok, he has a large slit down his tongue but that is the only injury apart from some bruising" the nurse opened a door and there on the bed was ben

" ben!, your alright, thank god!" you ran over to him and kissed him

" I'm ok babe, it was a big fuss over nothing i just thought I'd broken my jaw but I haven't, why are you crying gorgeous?" ben says wiping the tears from your cheeks

" I was so worried, I thought you could have brain damage or something similar" the tears keep on falling down your face as you clasp bens hand next to your face

" oh believe me, I'm not leaving you this early" ben reaches up and kisses you again more passionately, you feel him wince and you pull back

" whats wrong!" you exclaim

" nothing babe, just got a large chunk out my tongue so kissing that passionately may be off the cards for a while!" ben laughs

a nurse walked in " Mr Sutherland you can go home now if you want, come straight back in if you feel dizzy or if you lose consciousness, but apart from that he just needs lots of TLC!" the nurse smiled and walked out

" thank god, lets get you home babe" you say helping ben out the bed

you couldn't be happier that your future husband was ok
