It's now Saturday. One of my old friends invited me to the mall. I haven't seen her in so long, so I decide to go. It was mad fun. We went shopping and saw a movie. I get home and get on Xbox.

I join a party, and I hear everyone starting to freak out. I get kicked. Wow. Just because of one other person.

I text Ryan, who's in the party.

Me: It's unbelievable how people aren't mature enough to let someone in a conversation who wouldn't do a harm to anyone. I was going to stay silent and respect everyone because I want to be respected.

Ryan: I'm so sorry

It's now almost midnight. I've been off of Xbox for a few hours and decide to see who's still on. Everyone is still on, but I get invited into a party Ryan made. It's just me and him, which is pretty normal.

"I thought you were in that big party. What happened?"

"As soon as you got on I got kicked and called a faggot and they said to go to me."

"I hate how we are both targeted. Why can't a guy and a girl be best friends?"

"Exactly."

We talked until 2 am. That's what I call a true friend.

I've learned so much. I've learned who to hang around with and how to treat someone right. I learned to respect others and fight for friends that deserve it. I learned that it's not okay to fall to a low point just because of one person, who doesn't even deserve you. I learned to love myself and not to hate others, no matter how much they did to you.

The most valuable thing I've learned is that some friends aren't worth the price. They aren't worth getting anxiety or depressed over. You can only fight for so much without getting hurt.

Now, I know that someone who you're just friends with could turn into a nightmare, but some other friends who are just friends, are something more than you thought. They're truly amazing and reliable and someone you can count on. They're a true friend, and someone who you can be just friends with.

Sometimes, being 'Just Friends' with someone isn't a bad thing.
