Chapter 11

"They're late!"

Mayumi complained.

Haruhi looked at Mayumi, not retorting anything since what Mayumi just said was indeed a fact.

Haruhi took a glance at her phone and saw that it's already 12 and the other two have yet to arrive.

'Lets meet at the Family restaurant near the school at around 11:00 am....yeah right, it's already 12 noon!...'

Haruhi complained in her mind about the mail she received from Youko.

"Muuuuu... Don't tell me they forgot that we were supposed to meet..."

Mayumi asked to no one in particular while she ate her strawberry parfait.

"Like you're the one to talk, you completely forgot that we were gonna have a group study. I bet that at this time you'll still be sleeping if I didn't go and wake you up"

"Today's a sunday after all, so isn't it okay to sleep in?"

"It is if you don't have any appointments"

Haruhi retorted, Mayumi then pouted and finished her parfait.

"And by the way, that's already your third parfait"

Hearing what Haruhi just had said, Mayumi panicked.

"Oh no! What am I gonna do?"

Haruhi got confused hearing Mayumi mutter.

"Why are you panicking? Are you finally getting worried that you might get fat?"

It is a fact that Mayumi have never cared if she got fat or not,which is why Haruhi got even more confused and just asked Mayumi the question she had in her mind. (Mayumi has a fast metabolism which means that she doesn't easily get fat)

"There's no way that that's gonna be a problem for me"

"That is true....Then what?"

"Uhm....The parfait here..... Costs 1200 yen.....right?"

Cold sweat dripped from Mayumi

"So that means that you have to pay 3600 yen"

"Yeah.... That's the problem..."

"...wha?........"

"I only brought 2000 yen with me"

Haruhi stared at Mayumi and remembered something that she should tell Mayumi

"Just to remind you, I just brought 4000 yen and the curry that I bought costs 3500 yen and that the other 500 yen would be my savings"

"Then what should I do?"

Mayumi slumped herself down the table looking very troubled.

"Let Youko pay for you"

"She won't do that..."

"She would, let's just say that it's her punishment for being late"

Mayumi once again regained her spirit after hearing that the one paying her parfaits would be Youko.

"Sorry were late!"

Speaking of the devil, Youko and Asuka arrived and sat down at the seat opposite Haruhi and Mayumi.

"We were just talking about you two"

"Eh? About what?"

Youko asked, Haruhi called for the waiter to give them their bill and as soon as it arrived, Haruhi answered Youko with another question.
