Marian's POV
They looked so cute together. Ang mag-ama ko. Nakadapa si Pio sa ibabaw ng dibdib ni Seth at pareho silang mahimbing na natutulog. I got kind of teary-eyed just watching them together. Hindi ako makapaniwala na dadating pa ang panahon na ito. Na magkakaroon ako ng buong pamilya.
I stared down at the diamond ring I had on my finger. I couldn't believe he proposed to me. Mabibigay ko na ang anak ko ng isang buong pamilya at pakakasalan ko ang lalaking mahal ko. I was going to be Mrs. Seth Timothy Fonacier.
I dropped a kiss on Pio's cheek and then, after the briefest of hesitations, one on Seth's cheek. A smile broke into his lips, his eyes fluttering open.
"Why are you still awake?" He asked, looking at me with hooded eyes.
"Wala lang. Ang sarap niyo kasing panoorin." I answered.
"Why don't you join us?" He said, extending his arm to me.
Humiga ako sa tabi nila at sumiksik sa tagiliran ni Seth. He wrapped an arm around me as I snuggled against his side, laying my head on his chest. I looked at Pio, his face was just a few inches away from me. His angel face and cherub cheeks made me feel mushy inside.
"Bakit hindi mo sinabi, Marian?" He asked in a serious tone as he stroked my hair.
"Huh?"
"Bakit hindi mo sinabi ang totoo noong nagbubuntis ka pa lang sa kanya?"
"Maniniwala ka ba sa akin kung sinabi ko sa'yo ang totoo noon?"
"Yes, I've always felt that he was mine."
"I got scared." I bit my bottom lip. "I'm sorry."
"Pakiramdam ko nasayang lahat ng panahon na inakala kong anak ng ibang lalaki si Pio. Yung mga panahon na natakot ako na baka bumalik sa buhay niyo ang totoong ama niya at palitan niya ang pwesto ko... I've lived in fear that one day that would happen. Gayong wala naman pala talaga akong dapat katakutan. I wanted to hate you but try as I might, I can't. I love you too much."
I felt him his lips on my forehead. I closed my eyes and sighed. I couldn't help but feel regret. I regret the amount of time that I had wasted, I could've had all these before, I was just glad I have him now.
"Isa pa, ayaw ko naman na isantabi mo yung buhay mo para sa amin. I knew how afraid you are of responsibilities and giving up your freedom."
"I'd be willing to give up everything for the both of you and do everything you ask me to. If you say it, I will do it. That's how much I love you."
"I love you too." I smiled.
"It's really funny you know?" He chuckled. "This little man right here has been conceived without us having sex. And he came from a used condom. What do you think he's reaction would be like when someday he finds out how he was made?"
"Bakit naman niya malalaman? Siraulo ka talaga!" I laughed. "Kaya nga you shouldn't waste your... um, man essence. Those are your potential children. Think about your son. If I hadn't injected your semen in me, Pio would just be one of those sperms rotting in a piece of plastic."
"That's kind of sick to think about." He grimaced. "But for the record, Marian, I have been celibate since I moved in with you. That's the longest I have ever been celibate. Kung hindi ka lang bagong panganak, I would've taken you right now."
"Seth!" I scolded him, my cheeks heating up. "Really? In front of your son?!"
"What? He's asleep." Natatawang sabi niya.
I rolled my eyes at him but couldn't help but smile. I couldn't thank God enough for all these things I'd been blessed with. My eyes felt heavy. I yawned, closing my eyes and quickly drifting to sleep.
