Change of Scenery

Sometimes you get a little tired,
And maybe the thought makes you perspire,
But people have a tendency to fall,
And fall they will.
A certain rhythm is achieved,
A kind of pattern nobody wants to break,
Afraid the differences will be too great,
But maybe you could just push a bit,
A little nudge over the edge.
And soon their painted pictures,
With all their pretty colors,
Will start to blend.
A new image created,
If only you just say it,
The past will fade and then,
A new person decided,
Will have the kind of freedom,
For which we all pretend.
If you want a new name,
Change it,
If you hate the situation,
Break it,
That's all that there is to it,
You just have to do it,
Simple as a shrew it's,
Truly up to you,
Be what you want to be.
- Because it is that simple, it's just not that easy
