Found It

I always wondered where I'd fit,
And looked upon the knowing,
Never knowing it.
I've never had a passion,
That's lasted quite so long,
I could never see a future,
Where I picked but just one song.
Decisions aren't my forte,
It's quite hard to decide,
When the interests that you have,
Spread so far and wide.
But finally I've got it,
It's all within my grasp,
It took me long enough,
And I got it just like that.
It was a tiny little ember,
I pushed it to the side,
And in a darkened corner,
It took on its own life.
The glowing little flame,
Called out to me one night,
"I will not be ignored,
I will set your dreams alight!"
And all the night was quite,
For I knew not to respond,
The fire would surely burn me,
Flitting in its rage,
If I did again deny,
So I let it deep within me.
Inside a forest burning,
Which started in a house,
Which started in a corner,
Which started in a doubt.
And to it I surrendered,
I let it take me in,
But the fire didn't burn me,
It welcomed me as kin.
With my new found passion,
And a Cheshire's sure grin,
I headed towards my future,
One I found in whim.
