As I pull my bow string back to my lip I hear a twig snap. I ignore it and shoot the deer. I walk over to the animal when something whizzes past my head into a tree beside me. It's an arrow. But not one that I recognize.
I look to where the arrow came from and see a hooded figure come towards me. I hold back a scream and start to climb the closest tree to me.
I look down and see the figure half way up...So I decided to jump to the nearest tree. I keep doing that until I get to the river bank. I jump down but land funny and hurt my ankle. I wobble around to where I fall.
I look behind me,and see that it's running towards me. I get up despite my ankle and try to run/drag my ankle. I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn around and kick him with my bad foot. Bad idea.
I let out a scream in pain. I use as much strength as I can muster and pin him down. I do it and his hood falls off. "WHO ARE YOU?" I demanded.
