How I Met You

Peter POV:

I heard the screeching of the Shadows pounding on the invisible barrier that circled around the Shadows Ring keeping them inside. At least as long as I wanted them inside that is. The only Shadow I ever really let come out was my own because I knew what he was capable of and followed me orders strictly. The other Shadows didn't however. They bowed down to my Shadow yes, but only when he was around. Because the answer was simple they were scared of him because he was me now, and I didn't like wasting my time with any dumb Shadow. That was my own Shadows job not mine. Though I couldn't help but be lured in. They seemed angry, but when I stretched my magic toward the barrier I couldn't sense anything. Not even some wild beast, but then what would make the the Shadows so upset then?

I was a curious boy as everyone knew, and I would never turn down an adventure. This was one right here, but it wasn't important to me at the moment. El was gone and nobody was yet to find her, and it was driving me crazy. She couldn't have left the island because I would've known, and would have just brought her right back, but then where was she and why couldn't my powers touch her. Many of the Lost Boys had gone bored with searching and quit, others like Jasper and Drew hadn't stopped yet. They had grow close with El, and I wasn't sure how I felt with the matter.

 Elena was mine, and only mine. I knew that with a twist of my hand I could easily get rid of them, but I also knew Elena wouldn't forgive me for doing so, and lately that was all I cared about. Especially sense she had gone missing. I just wanted to see her smile again, hear her laugh, and see her beautiful grey eyes that I loved so much. This was my Elena. The Elena I had looked after sense she was born. 

Of course the only reason I had done so was because I heard a new hero was amongst the mist back in Storybrooke. I had to see it for myself. I figured it would be some sibling of somebody or whatever, but then I found out it was the child of Henry. The holder of the heart of the truest believer, Henry. I guess I still saw him as some little kid, but no he was well into his thirties now. He had found his True Love Grace, and they had had a baby girl. I couldn't help but chuckle at the thought back then. Just another Hero to keep getting in my way. I had no plans of any sort to even deal more with the matter. Though something still pulled me to got visit the child. I didn't know the reason, but I followed the pull to a small house in StoryBrooke Main not really knowing what awaited me there. A party of sorts was going on and I recognized the Hero's instantly. They were smiling and laughing and having a wonderful time, and I glared at them. Wishing more then anything for a way to destroy them.

That's when I heard her name for the very first time, and when my world changed forever.

(Flashback of Peter seeing Elena for the first time)

"We are all so very happy for both of you." Snow White said smiling at her grandson and his wife Grace as they held onto a small little bundle. Though I couldn't see what was inside. Snow looked lovingly at the bundle however before reminiscing stories of when she first had Emma and then Neal, but I didn't really understand why.

As I looked more around the room I saw Regina and Robin Hood smiling and talking with Emma and Hook. Saying how strange it was going to be called grandma and grandpa from now on. They all looked beyond happy, and I hated them for it. They had destroyed my life, and now they had something as pure as a child, and their lives were just perfect. Oh how I hated them and the child for causing such happiness, and there was nothing more that I wanted but to destroy it.

I turned my attention back to Henry and Grace who were now by themselves Grace still holding a bundle talking, and I couldn't help but listen in. "I just hope that nothing bad ever touches her Henry. Nothing like what touched me and you when we were children. That's what I hope for our daughter. To be pure and happy, and never have to deal with the darkness like we had to." Grace said looking up at Henry, tears staining her place cheeks.

"We will do whatever it takes to make sure that the darkness doesn't Grace, but we can't promise it it won't. There are dark things out there like the Wicked Witch, and Pan, but we know how to handle them. Nothing like that is going to touch her." He said smiling down at his wife as she smiled at him before looking back at the bundle. While I just smirked daringly at the oh so happy couple, and how that would soon change. I would spread a darkness on their lives like never before starting with taking their little daughter away.

"I should probably go put her down, I'll be right back." Grace said before leaving her husband and going upstairs. I followed watching her through the windows until she got to room like nursery while humming a soft little tune. She set the bundle in the crib looking down at it smiling before blowing it a kiss, and leaving the room, but not before speaking to "Goodnight Elena I love you." then shut the door behind her. 

I made sure the coast was clear before making my way toward the window pulling it gently open. A swift breeze blowing throughout the room pushing me inside with it. I then made my way toward the crib quietly before leaning over to look at the small bundle which wasn't a bundle anymore. Inside the crib lay a small delicate looking baby girl. She already had dark curly brown hair on her head all the way to her shoulder, a button nose, small pink lips, and the most stunning grey eyes that I remembered so clearly from my past that just wouldn't leave me. I gasped surprised at the resemblance that I was already beginning to see between the child and 'her'. It was completely uncanny. 

My hand shook thinking of my plan. I couldn't go through with it, at least not anymore. I saw to much in this little girl, and I knew I couldn't harm her. If anything I had to protect her from the darkness. The darkness that had twisted itself within me. The darkness I had no control over, but what controlled me. Though seeing her it felt like that darkness that had such a tight grip on me disappeared. It was selfish in ways, but I knew I couldn't leave her now. She helped me contain and be rid of the darkness even if it was only for a little while, and she was a second chance. A second chance to protect when I had failed the last time. That was my new plan, but that didn't mean one thing had changed. When she was old enough I would take her to Neverland, but unlike with her father I wouldn't fail. Nobody and I meant nobody was going to get her. Because she was mine, and only mine. "I'll come back for you Elena. I won't let anyone hurt you, and one day we'll be together. Your mine and I am yours. I love you Elena." I said kissing her head before flying off back to Neverland.

(Flashback ends)

Ever sense that day she had become my life one way or another. Just back then I had been for different reasons. It had been to get the darkness out of me now I knew that it also made the darkness stronger because I had a bond with her. I needed her here with me for many reason some I couldn't admit to anybody maybe not even myself.

The screams still rang from inside the Shadows Ring, and I was growing annoyed. So I decided to check out what the commotion was all about. That's when I saw a black boot peaking out from behind some bushes. I ran over as quickly as I could removing the bushes, leaves, branches, and anything else in my way. Thats when I saw her. I couldn't help but have my eyes go wide in fear and anger who could have done this. She was limp a nasty bloody gash on her forehead, and her breathing was shallow. "Elena. Elena you gotta wake up." I said shaking her a bit but her head only twisted to the side with the shaking. I moved he head unto my lap as tears made there way from my eyes. "No Elena stay with me! Elena, El! Please you mean more to me then you'll even know thats why you have to live, because I can't without you." I said into her ear not wanting anyone else but her to hear my words. She did not respond however and more tears blurred my vision as I cried into her neck. 

I was just about to call for help when I saw her eyes begin to twitch. "Elena?" I asked while watching for any more signs of movement. Slowly her eyes opened revealing her beautiful grey eyes that I loved so much. "Elena your all right. Don't you ever do that again do you hear! I thought you were dead! I'm so happy your okay Elena." I said hugging her but she didn't hug me back. "El?" I asked confused while she looked at my oddly.

"Who's Elena?"
