LUNCH CAME AROUND faster than I though. For once, everything felt normal—at least, if you don't count the times that teachers has asked me if I was okay and what happened, then, yeah, it was pretty much the most normal thing that I could get.

And of course, there was the guys who were trying not to make it seem as awkward as it could be since everyone was let in on the secret that Travis and I kissed. He even told them, that I was the one who made the first move which was true so I didn't bother to correct him.

Sean's reaction was just priceless, it looked like he wanted to vomit and punch Travis for kissing me and the other guys for making fun of the both of us at the same time. Well, except for Tyler. He was silent the whole time and was just on his phone scrolling through it. Then, I heard him typing on the keyboard of his phone.

I wondered who he was texting.

          My phone buzzed.

The number wasn't from my contacts, my heart started hammering from my chest as I thought it was the person who was stalking and threatening me but then I opened it up.

I got your number from your brother that day when you got hurt. This is Tyler. Talk to me.

Tyler and I locked eyes for a second. I couldn't help but feel like the guys around us weren't there anymore and it was just him and I, texting each other at a distance. He smiled slightly before I turned back to my screen and saw another text he sent.

How's the shoulder and the ribs?

Giving him a blank look, I typed a reply. It still hurts but I didn't want to wear the sling to school. Christi and the others might use it against me anyways. I never said thank you to you, btw.

I watched him as his brows furrowed for a second before sending me a reply. For what?

Helping me. You found me and called the others to help.

I wished I didn't panic too much when I saw you hurt. I couldn't help but look at him in confusion before going back to the screen. I could have helped you, picked you up, and just... I don't know, helped you. I was helpless and you didn't need someone helpless that time.

Tyler, it was okay. It's over now, I guess. A smile came over me as I thought of something. You can help me kill Travis, though. He's irritating me.

I could hear a low chuckle coming from him. It was nice to hear him laugh. It felt like it was much lighter between us, and if he was still carrying that guilt of what happened to me, I was sure it was gone.

Where do you want to hide the body, master?

As I typed a reply, laughing to myself, Travis nudged me with his elbow on my arm and tried to tower over my phone. "Who are you texting?"

Using my quick reflexes, I hid my phone and cocked a brow at him. "What's it to you?"

"Well, you're laughing at something," he started, giving me a grin. "and I wanted to be involved in what it is and who's making you laugh."

This was too much for me to handle. He was already acting like I didn't hate him. He was acting like a flirty boyfriend of someone—me and we aren't even really together. Sure, I sat with them but that's because I didn't have any choice. I was forced to sit with them because they feared of what Christi might do to me or that I could risk exposing myself as someone who could fight and people would be able to see the connection of me being Ice—the masked woman who beats people's ass for a living.
