Brielle's POV

" A F?!? Are you kidding me?" I exclaimed to my teacher who pulled me after class to talk to me about my test.

"I'm afraid not Ms. Kelly,  I wanted to make sure that everything is fine with your home life, you always ace these tests. What happened?" My teacher has always been hard on me knowing how I am about my grades.

"I know you know the material, but I'm afraid I have to attend you a tutor to help you before the next test," as he was explaining it felt like my whole world was crumbling, crumbling, "I've recommended Colton Pierce." Yep. Crumbled.

" No, no, no sir, you cannot possibly mean the twelfth grader, bad boy, Colton Pierce!!"

" So you know him!! Great, so you will be okay with him as a tutor! Have a nice afternoon Ms. Kelly."

I cannot believe what just happened. Colton Pierce. My tutor. How? And most importantly why did this have to happen to me? I cannot deal having Colton Pierce getting close again.

As I was exciting the classroom my gaze lifted from the ground to where Colton Pierce stood leaning against the locker, smirking. That sexy smirk... Wait... No...Stop!!

"Well, well, well if it isn't the perfect Brielle Kelly, did you hear I'm your tutor now."He spoke walking towards me until I was trapped against the locker, he leaned closer until his lips reached my ear, "That means you have to listen to what ever I say," his hot breath trickling in my ear. "Meet me at our place tonight seven o'clock."

With that he left me there breathless. Our place, our place, he wants to meet at our place. I haven't been there since... No I don't want to think about anything. Taking a deep breath I turned and walked out the door to my house to get prepared to meet at our place.

It was now six thirty and I started getting ready for our "get together." With that I pulled my hair into a messy bun, slipped on my converse and headed to our spot.

Our spot. Why of all places would he want to meet there? I haven't been here since.... That night.

I pulled up and he was already there propping up against his red corvette, looking out on the overlook. I pulled up took a deep breath and  headed toward him.

As soon as he saw me his smirk that was placed on his face widened.

"Brie!! You made.." I cut him off "Listen, you may be my tutor but that doesn't mean we have to talk to each other."

"Wow Brie, I thought you were smarter than that, you know to tutor you we actually have to talk" he said smirking.

"Just Shut up and don't call me Brie" I said my cheeks flooding with embarrassment which caused his smirk to widen if that was even possible "Let's just get this over with"

"If you calculate the moles of oxygen that is needed to react with 3.4 mol of C3H7OH what will your answer be?" Colton asked smugly as if I didn't know the answer, "15.3 mol O2."

He looked at me astonished, "You..You know this stuff?"

I furrowed my eyebrows at his question,"Of course I know this stuff why wouldn't I?"

He started laughing hysterically at my response,"You.. You.. Don't remem...ber.. When we were..young...younger?!?!"

I couldn't help but laugh along with him. You can't let him do this not now, not again.
I automatically stopped and started back on my work, Colton must have thought the same thing, he stopped along with me and looked out into the distance.

" Hey Brie, are you okay? About what just happened back..." he tried to say before I interrupted him.

"Colton, just stop okay? We are not friends, got it? so just stop pretending like you care because we both know you stopped caring a long time ago" I snapped

He obviously didn't know what to do about my sudden outburst, he opened his mouth to say something after running his hand through his hair frustrated, but decided against it, and as he walked away I could have sworn I heard him say, "If you only knew how much I care for you."

The next day we ignored each other like usual. Beth was the only one I told about Colton tutoring me, she was astounded, "Wait a minute... so you mean to tell me Colton Pierce, THE Colton Pierce, bad boy of our school Colton Pierce is your chemistry tutor?" she asked with her jaw dropped on our way home from school.

I myself always knew Colton was smart, he always succeeded in school. I was the only one who knew. We used to tell each other everything, but that one night. One night was all it took for that to change.

" Yep, that Colton Pierce," I responded while unlocking the door to my house, walking in I threw my keys on the table, yelling out for my parents "MOM? DAD?" typical... no response. My parents always leave for business trips without letting me know so I'm used to them not being home. As I walked into the kitchen to find a note on the fridge from my mom with Beth following.

Brielle,

Me and your dad had to go to Australia for a last minute case, this is  a very complicated and long case we might not be home for at least five weeks, there is money in the cookie jar for EMERGENCYS ONLY. Email or text when you feel like you need to talk to someone. See you in five weeks!! Love you!!

Love Mom and Dad

"Hey Brie, I'm so sorry to do this but I have to go, my mom just texted to tell me to come home for dinner, will you be okay?" Beth spoke with concern laced in her voice.

"I'll be fine Beth, go. Spend time with your family."

"Alright..." she eyed me not wanting to leave me alone in a huge house all by my self at night. "Call me if you need ANYTHING," she paused for a second before talking again, "Or better yet call your hunky tutor!!" she winked with a laugh and she was gone.

I headed upstairs and flopped down in my bed and fell asleep instantly, making sure to set my alarm first. Bang...Bang...Bang Bang... is the first thing I woke up to. ii carefully made my way downstairs with a bat in hand and opened the door to reveal...
