I finally finished my summer reading..well it was due today so I kinda had to finish it today.

Anyways.......seven more days till school start and I think I can finish this story by then.

Recap:

Matt held me tighter and soothe me like I was a child. I didn't mind, it felt nice.

I'm pretty nervous about today. Matt is going to take me to see his grandma. It's kind of nerve-wracking, meeting is family member especially one that's basically like his mom.

"What if she doesn’t like me?" I asked Matt

"What if she loves you?" Replied a smirking Matt

"I guess your right"

We both got in the car and drove off to the hospital. We got there in 20 minutes.

"You nervous princess?" He asked

"Um no." I lied

"You’re a pretty bad liar, you know?" 

"Yea I know."

"You have nothing to worry about, I'm sure she'll love you." He said and kissed my cheeks.

I grabbed his arm and we walked in through the automatic sliding door into the hospital. The hospital stench hit us like wildfire. The smell of bleach and baby powder mixed together made me nauseated but I put up with it and pretend that it didn't bother me. I would get used to it...eventually.

We walked past the receptionist since Matt comes and visit her often and knows where her room is. He pressed the "up" button on the elevator. We waited a few seconds and the door to the right opened and we went in.

His grandma which I found out her name was Lucy, was on the 5th floor of the building. 

"So which room is she in?" I asked Matt

"146 it's over here." He said and led me to the room.

I took a deep breath and braced myself for the next few hours.  Matt turned the door knob and pushed it opened. We walked in and I saw this older lady on the bed. Her hair was white; her skin was pretty pale and wrinkled. She looked very worned out. She heard us enter and then looked up and her eyes light up immediately and were filled with joy.

"Mattybear!" She said with glee and tried to sit up, that is until Matt tried to stop her.

"Grandma sit back down your going to hurt yourself."

"Pish posh, I may look like a brittled cookie but trust me I'm like a ginger snap, hard as a rock." She said sternly and I couldn't help but laugh at her comparison.

"Your grandma is pretty funny." I said and that got her attention, not like the laugh didn’t. Hence the sarcasm.

"Matt, who is this dashing young lady? I hope she's your girlfriend if not I will get surgery to become an 18 year old boy and take her to be my girlfriend." She said seriously.

I couldn't help but laugh.

"Don't worry grandma she's all mine and her name is Kaylie." He said and grabbed my waist and kissed my forehead.
