I wish to dedicate the following poem to my mother for always being there and supporting me in my writing. Thanks, Mom!

______________

Most of my life, we spent together.

Since the day I learned to walk to the day I grew bitter.

Yet, despite all of that, you remained the same,

Always benign and taking the blame

For our misdemeanours.

You held my hand when tears were rolling

Down, down, down my cheeks.

You told me things would be fine when years were flying

By, by, by one after another.

You told me to keep on following my passion and

Not, not, not to worry about the hurtful words of others.

For all those times, I wish to say

On this chilly Christmas Day

That there are not enough words I could give away

To show my love to the one and only

Mom.

Merry Christmas
