As the rain fell a voice could be heard screaming out for someone as the silence nearly caused the sound to echo. Lightning flashed and the thunder roared, a teenage boy was seen standing at the edge of the roof top of a 6 story building. The boy was soaked and was looking down at the street as his short black hair was sticking to his face nearly covering his black eyes, but he slowly turned around and saw a girl, who was wearing a black hoody with black jeans and black sneakers. She had brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes but the girl was soaked, it also seemed that she was crying when she saw the boy.

Then she became worried as to what he might do. The girl looked on as the 15 year old straightened out his wet trench coat and watched as he cleaned off a bit of mud from his pants and black combat boots. The girl was relieved thinking that everything was going to be alright and began walking towards the boy who had straightened up and smiled at her with bright eyes. Then out of the blue, just as the girl got closer, the boy gave her a sad look and waved a goodbye as he let himself fall over the edge of the building. Terrified the girl yelled out his name which was silenced by the thunder's roar. Without thinking she ran towards the spot where the boy once was and threw herself over the edge in hopes to catch him. As she was falling she saw the boy holding his hand out so she could grab him and just as she reached out for him.........

Beep Beep Beeeeep!!!

Midnight awoke startled and sat up as her 7 o'clock alarm was beeping like there was no tomorrow and she groaned covering her ears with her hands. "Stupid clock!!!" she yelled as she lied back down and tried to cover her head with her pillow. Afterward she threw her pillow at the clock in hopes that it would stop the madness, but missed by a few feet. "Ugh" she cried as she got up, hit the snooze button then returned to her bed in hopes to go back to sleep, but 5 minutes later the alarm started up again with a higher pitch. Midnight screamed into her other pillow and finally gave in and got up to unplug the clock. "Fine you win!!" she yelled and headed to her bathroom to get ready.

After Midnight finished getting dressed she came out the bathroom wearing black sneakers, blue jeans, and a black hoody. She looked at the watch she was wearing, which stated that it was 8:00. "The first day in a new school and I'm going to be late." she sighed then left the room closing the door behind her and looked around her apartment noticing just how empty it was. From what she saw: the kitchen and the living room was empty, with the exception of a sofa and a television set in the living room, and a few unwashed dishes and pots in her kitchen sink. "I think I should get a puppy" Midnight stated to herself shaking her head and leaving the apartment. She went down a few flight of stairs since she was on the 2nd floor and stepped out into the streets calmly walking to her new school.

A few minutes had passed and Midnight ran off to school in a sudden fear as she felt everybody's eyes on her.

At first she was walking calmly down a few blocks but she had realized that a guy was following her ever since she stepped out of her house. She felt her lungs tighten since it wasn't getting enough air but she continued running anyway since the guy behind her was getting nearer. She didn't know why he was following her but she didn't want to find out so she made a sharp right turn around the corner, an then a left around the next corner, losing him in the crowd, but suddenly she tripped and skidded a bit on the concrete floor leaving her with scratches on both her arms and slightly ripped up her pants where her knee caps were.

Everybody that was there was looking at her in both confusion and disgust, but she didn't care she was panting heavily, but forced her now screaming body to get up and run to her destination, which was about 5 long blocks down. Even though she wasn't sure if the guy that was following her had found her, she didn't care to look back, she just pushed herself to get to her safe spot where there might be security guards and other people around her.
