Love # 63: Last Year

It's already August, already half of the first semester of my last year here in St. Augustus, sa nakalipas na mga taon na nandito ako, madami ang nangyari.

Mark happened to me.

"Hi Stacie." Bati ng mga estudyante na nakakasalubong ko. I waved back at them and gave them a smile.

Almost everyone know who I was, paano ba naman, as the new Campus Queen, kami ni kuya ang naging model ng school this year. Kaya kahit saan ka tumingin ay may mukha namin ni kuya, kung wala lang ako sa drama club ay siguro ay hiyang-hiya na ako.

"And there she is, model of the year." I stopped on my tracks and rolled my eyes before turning around and saw Kai walking towards my direction, "Too bad we're not in the same class anymore."

Nag-iba kasi ng schedule si kuya Kai this sem para may oras s'ya para kay Ria, kaya ayan, bihira na lang namin makita ang isa't isa, lalo na at mas naging busy ako sa drama club dahil 4th year na ako at kailangan kong ayusin ang mga natitirang documents bago ko ipasa ang pagiging president sa susunod na mananalo sa election next semester.

"How's Ria?" I asked him and he immediately lighted up.

It's like her name is a magic word that would immediately brighten up Kai's world in a split second. 

"She doing okay, 3 more months and I'm going to be a full pledge dad." I can see how happy he is, who wouldn't be, you're going to have a child with the woman you love, and both of you are already married.

"That's good to hear, she always kept me up at night when she was in her first trimester." I laughed at the memory of Ria calling me in the middle of the night because she's craving for something or she just wanted to see me.

"I really don't know why she's calling you, when I'm just there beside her." Kai laughed together with me.

"Yun ata ang tinatawag nilang naglilihi?" I laughed again, "Mukhang sa akin mag-mamana ang anak n'yo." sabi ko sa kanya.

He laughed again and nodded, "Well then, I should be thankful now knowing that our baby girl would be a beauty queen or model in the future." 

Yep, they're going to have a baby girl. 

Parehas kaming tumawa ni Kai at nakita ko ang pagtingin n'ya sa likuran ko bago n'ya binalik ang tingin n'ya sa akin, "Well, I'll be seeing you when I see you again." Sabi n'ya at pagkatapos ay tumawa s'ya.

Nagulat naman ako ng maramdaman ko ang pagpulupot ng isang braso sa bewang ko kaya agad akong napalingon sa may-ari nito.

"Hey, baby." He smiled at me before leaning down and kissing my head.

"Oops, no to PDA." Kai teased us.

"Says the guy who don't even care if he's in the door when making out with someone." I teased back.

"Hey, I'm a change man." He shrugged at us, "I better head off, don't want to be late for class." He then waved at us before passing by and leaving the two of us.

"He is a change man." Puna ni Mark habang nakasunod ang tingin namin sa kanya.

"I agree." At nagkatinginan kami ni Mark bago kami natawang dalawa.

"I was wondering what was taking you so long." sabi ni Mark sa akin, I was suppose to meet him in the cafeteria after the meeting in the drama club, but I was distracted by Kai, "Now I know why."
