I’m about to lose my temper to my old man. Of all the days that he can disturb me and introduce our new client, he chose this day where I took a day off to be with Cataleya. He can schedule it for other day but, NO! He insisted on doing it right NOW! As in the time that I’m with VAN!
Shit! What a prick! We’ll never get along! Never!
Nag-aalala ako na baka kung ano na ang nangyayari sa kanila ni Cindy. I know that she’s capable of handling kids ‘coz she has kids of her own, but VAN is different. She’s a little devious angel. How can that be even possible, right? Down right ironic! She looks like an angel but she is a little devil in disguise!
Well, it’s been an hour since I left them, and Cindy is not calling me. That is a good sign, I think. No call means no problems. Then my phone rang, like on cue, and I saw Mr. Velasquez, a business partner of mine. I sighed out of relief. As long as I don’t get a call from Cindy, we are fine. I answered it and discussed some deals we have.
The old man was still chatting up with that blasted client of his. I should be having my sweet time with Cataleya right now, but instead I was cooped up with these people, that made me very irritable.
Not long after the call, my phone rang again and this time Cindy’s name appear.
Oh, great! Akala ko stress free na ako! But surprise, surprise! Life would be very interesting with VAN around!
“Dad, I’m just going to take this call for a while.”, pagpapaalam ko sa kanila. I need to be polite for the sake of our visitors. If it was just the two of us, I won’t give a damned about him.
“Go ahead son, take your time.”, sagot naman niya.
“Please excuse me gentlemen. This won’t take long.”, nakangiting paalam ko sa aming bisita.
“It seemed like a personal call, from your girl, I guess?”, one of them teased.
“Yeah!”, balewalang sagot ko at lumayo sa kanila. I hit the answer button, “What?”, agad na tanong ko.
“I don’t know what to do any more! HELP!”, natatarantang sabi ni Cindy. May marinig akong iyak ng bata sa background.
“Cinds, what’s going on? Is VAN crying?”
“Ah, eh, Sir Vaughn, hindi ko na alam ang gagawin ko. Nagwawala na ang anak mo! She’s trashing my office, hindi ako makalapit! Hinahanap ka niya at ang mommy niya.”
Oh, God! Ano na nga ba ang nangyayari sa batang iyon? Ano na ba ang gagawin ko?
“Arrrgh! Let me talk to her! Dali!”, mariin at may pagmamadaling utos ko sa kanya.
Sandali siyang nawala at kinausap si VAN para sabihing kakausapin ko siya.
