While everybody was playing paintball I was getting my makeup done, I don't need to play paintball; proper southern girls don't play paintball. I drove to the hair school for them to do my hair and makeup but I needed it to last and look perfect so I made them redo it three times. After they had finished with my makeup I had them do a bun in my hair with some curls falling out of it.

"You look perfect!" The red head who was doing my hair exclaimed. I took another glace at the mirror scrutinizing every part of what they had done, tonight was important I had to look fabulous... After checking every piece I said

"Perfect. Thank you for everythin' darlin'" she sighed visibly getting less stressed.

"Alright I will go get your receipt and then you are free to go." She smiled cheerily walking away. I picked up my phone to see if anyone had texted me. Rory's name popped up, I clicked on it and his texts popped up. The new text read,

"Hey Alex, we just finished paintball and I was wondering if you needed anything before tonight? We are going to Olive Garden for dinner and then off to the dance is that okay with you?" I smiled, he's so thoughtful and considerate.

"Thank you for thinking of me. I don't believe I need anything except the time dinner is."

"Dinner is at 7, but I thought I would pick you up at 6:30 if that's alright?"

"For sure see you then." The red head walked up handed me my receipt and started cleaning her brushes. I left after handing her the tip.

I then drove to Scarlett's house to help her with her hair. After parking next to Cass' car, I got out and walked up the driveway and into her house. I almost yelled and then thought better of it either she's watching a movie with Cass or reading with Cass. I walked up the stairs and into the theatre where there were makeshift blankets and pillows thrown all over creating a sort of tent. Of course they would make a fort they are so immature sometimes. I crawled under the first blanket, only to find Scarlett sound asleep with her head resting on Cass' chest, and his arm around her asleep too. It would be cute if I wasn't in a rush to get her ready. I nudged her leg and whispered

"Hey Scar, darlin' wake up." She didn't even move, the girl can sleep basically any time anywhere. I nudged her again and said slightly louder

"Scarlett wake up please we need to get you ready." Cass' eyes fluttered open. He yawned.
"Alex what are you doing here? I thought you were paintballing."
"No I got ready instead and now we have to get her ready." I pointed at Scar.

"What time is it?" I checked my phone.

"uh 4:58. Mercedes, Mayson, Julia, Emerald, and my sister Andrea are all waiting at my house for us to do their hair."

"Oh okay. Here I'll help wake her up." He kissed the top of her head.

"Scar, my dear, wake up," He said in his normal voice stroking her hair. Scar finally moved; her eyes opened slowly as she stretched. Cass nodded toward me,

"Alex is here you need to go get ready for the dance." He kissed her nose, as she sighed.

"Ugh fine." She sat up and started to crawl out of the fort,
"Don't forget I'm picking you up at 6:30. Love you." He called. She kissed his cheek before crawling out. I backed out of the way so she could get out. She grabbed her crutches and hobbled to her room. She pointed toward a big black dress cover.

"Will you grab that? My dress is inside and I can't carry it and hobble down stairs at the same time."

"Yeah sure." I walked over and picked up the hanger. After carrying the dress down and getting Scar situated in my car I drove us to my house. Mern ran out to greet us as soon as I had parked in the driveway.
