It Will Be Okay, They Say

"It will be okay"

They say

"Just let us in

And you might win"

"I'll be just fine"

I decline

Even though I know

I'm at a low

I'll get up on my own

Forgetting the unknown

And moving on

Staying strong

But they just chuckle

Not knowing my struggle

It's funny, I guess

Because I'm in this mess

And I can't help me

Yet you're offering to set me free

Yeah right

I still can't see the light

Even if you're there

I can tell you don't care

But, you know what?

I will no longer cut

I will no longer fall

I am longer small

I am tall, I stand upright

I think it's going to be alright

Just as long as I smile

It might take a while

Before they become true

But at least with help from you

"It will be okay"

Sounds like a reason to stay

"I'll be just fine"

And this time

I'm not lying

I really am trying.
