"“It was a mistake," you said. But the cruel thing was, it felt like the mistake was mine, for trusting you." - David Levithan

I held you close to my heart,

Saying nothing shall drive us apart.

I didn't know you'd leave tomorrow,

Leaving me to drown in sorrow.

I always kept you in my life,

Not thinking you'd be one handing me the knife.

I made you my everything for loving,

And now you're gone, I have nothing.

Your words and laughter were in my head,

But now they're unabandoned, leaving me dead.

My friends left long ago as soon as they saw you,

They were right, if only back then I knew.

Your mistakes and pain are stuck with me,

And I don't know if I will ever break free.

Should I pull the trigger or flick the blade?

I don't know, but I've been betrayed.

A/N: We've all been betrayed, but you've got to hold your head high and start again. Stay strong.
