Prologue

JERON

"The last second straight block and the last second straight down from the best blocker herself, Mika Reyes! What a great move to end this season! Look at that replay, Boom. Wow!"

Was clapping my heart out as I watch her do her thing again.

Nakaupo lang ako pero hanggang batok na ang ngiti ko.

Man, that's my girl over there! I really wanted to shout.

"Go Mika! Wooh! Saya!" nakatayong sigaw ni Dave sa gilid ko.

Siya lang ang kasama ko ngayon dahil parehong nasa bakasyon sina Bryan at Thomas.

"Huu! Napaos ako 'dun ah! Ibang klase ang jowa mo, bro. Akin nalang." sabi nito sabay upo.

I instantly gave him a look and he was like.... "Joke!"

"Ba't ba kasi ganyan lang ang reaksyon mo? Hindi na ko magkaugaga sa pagcheer, tapos ikaw...."

Ginaya niya kung paano ako pumalakpak.

"Anbayan, men? Taasan mo naman ang energy mo."

"Mataas ang energy ko, deep inside." sabi ko nang bigla nalang siyang tumayo.

"Wooh! Go Spikers! Go! Go! Go!!! Woo!!"

Jusko. Manager yata nila 'to, eh.

"Reyes on the line. Galang at the back. Balls on Santiago. Great serve! Received by Galang. Woah there!"

"Stood up kahit nadulas. Yan ang spirit, di ba Boom?"

"Exactly. Santiago is serving again and woah blocked by Reyes! Ang bilis!"

(People standing up and cheering loudly)

"Wow! People are standing up. And look who's on our screen. "

(Showed Kiefer as he was standing and clapping)

"Minsan lang manood 'yan. I think I know now what team he is supporting."

Napahinto si Dave sa pagsigaw sabay bigay ng tingin sakin.
