   Throughout the year she, Ron, and Harry spent camping out in the cold, Hermione began to suspect more and more that Harry himself was a Horcrux. The possibility drove her mad with anxiety until she managed to settle herself so deeply in denial that she was convinced there was no way it could be true. When Voldemort's voice echoed over the grounds bringing news of Harry Potter's death, she knew what her best friend had done, and why, and her heart broke into a million pieces.
