A Night to Remember

Katherine's POV

It was just me and my grandmother

Brenda was tiered so Stephen took Victor and her back to the house to rest

I on the other hand wasn't done, it was barely eleven so I have a full hour to look around

My grandmother said she has something for me

A present for my birthday

My birthday isn't till Friday but she said she can't wait any longer

We were sitting on a bench watching the festival still alive

"Okay the first thing I want to give you is this moon ring"she said placing the ring on my palm

Its gorgeous it had a white shiny marble in the senter with a simple dezine on the sides

"And this one it has a little story behind it,but I'll tell you later"

The ring had a small red rubbie with two small triangles facing the opposite sides and gold rope dezine along with it

It was simply breath taking

"And last and certainly not least the bracelet"

It was a black leather bracelet with a red rubbie in the center

Around the rubbie was a dezine that made it pop out even more

And the bracelet was the same,matching it

It was kinda of like a flower but not completely

It was just perfect

"Oh my goodness nana this is so perfect,so beautiful"I looked at her,eyes filled with tears"Thank you, this means so much to me"

"You're welcome"she said hugging me

"It was my grandmother's, she then passed it to my mother,and my mother to me...and know I want you to have it"

"Really? Oh my God...thank you so much. I don't know what to say other than 'thank you'. I love it"I smiled at her

"You don't have to say anything its your birthday present. Now child...one day I won't be here and every time you put these on remember me..and how much I love you"

I couldn't talk cause I was crying to much so I just nodded

"I-i love y-you too"I said between sobs
She hugged and whispered in my ear

"Don't cry child, don't cry. Its all right I'll always be hear with you"she paused

"I love you and you're brother,you are the world to me. I would do anything to keep you two safe."she added

I nodded

Not trusting my self to speak

"Okay know child let's get going. You must be starving"she said getting up

"Y-yeah"I wipped my cheeks while getting up

"Don't cry any more darling, you're to beautiful for that"she said kneeling down,wiping my tears

I nodded and smiled to her

We both were in a restaurant a couple blocks away from the house, but near the national forest that people can visit
