"Hi sweetie I missed you so much"my mother said hugging me

"Missed you too"

My mom is the type of mom who tries to erase her mistakes by buying me stuff that I don't want and don't need.

"How's business going"I asked clearly not interested

"Its fine"she said sitting on the opposite side of the love seat.

My mother was the one who gave me away to The Icris Group when I was four. Once she left me there she took every ounce of respect I had for her with her.

I do love her but I hate her at the same time for giving me away to those men.

"So..what do you want to do today? Want to go get breakfast?"

"No I already ate"I said not looking at her

"I'm so sorry Victor...but I had no choice. I was worried that you're powers would go out of control...a-and I'm so sorry baby I'm sorry."she was now crying in front of me.

I shook my head. I don't want to seem stubborn as I might look right know. But when it comes to my mom..I can't help it.

"It takes more than just sorry mom"

"I know baby I know"

"No clearly you don't you have to show me and don't buy me gifts anymore. I don't need them and I don't want them. Stop wasting you're money on me. Just show me how sorry you truly are."

She nodded "Okay Victor whatever you want me to do,just tell me"

"Tell me why you did that"I said

"I had no choice"

"Yes you did you had the choice to take me and run. But you took the easy way out and gave me to them as if I was an unwanted dog. You gave me to them knowing what they would do if they failed. Not to mentioned they tortured us and treated us like animals...so don't tell me you had no choice."I said

Just looking at her makes me mad and every time that happens I set something on fire. Like I did back at the lab. But hey that distracted them while we escaped.

Its sad how someone you barely know acts more like you're mom than your own mother.

"Well you can't a ten year old can't have a weapon"she barked

"Well if you didn't give me away this wouldn't happen and I would not have to worry about my life being in danger"I defended "This is the life you gave me away to. You're just lucky enough that a random stranger saved me from it"
