A/N: Hello Readers. Here is chapter 19 and to the right is a picture of Greg. He's oldest of the group so I went with this guy. Greg Burns, by the way, isn't white, he's Greek. I haven't really went into details about him but I'm not very detailed when writing, something I lack. Anyways, thank you all for reading and I hope you like this chapter. Enjoy!

CHAPTER NINETEEN

Thursday evening dragged on like all the rest of the days that had passed. Gina and Brody were at the bar with Greg. I've found a bit of information on the Swope family. They use to live near New York City but moved down towards Bronx a year after. They had no kids and adopted a little girl, my mother. Other then that, nothing. Tomorrow morning, I was going to go down to the address that was given on the site and ask around about the family. Right now, I was hungry. Caine had cooked dinner for the house and since he was down stairs probably watching TV, I decided to join him. I was right about him watching TV. I grabbed a plate of spaghetti home made by him. Native American style. I sat next to him,

"What are you watching?" I asked.

"CSI: Miami." he said. I love this show, I thought to myself. It was the episode of a spring break gone wrong. Three friends found dead. All of them, like always, brutually murdered. Caine was a bit too into it because he was guessing on who the killer was. When he was wrong, he said he knew it was the person that really was the murderer.. The spaghetti was so good I literally devoured it. Caine turned the channel to the Discovery Channel,

"Any luck with the search?" he asked.

"A bit. I'm taking a trip to Brooklyn if your up for it." I answered. He nodded, "Yeah. I've never been there." Then he perked up and went silent. I knew he was communicating and I knew it was Connor. Probably checking up on me. After Caine finished with his communcating he turned to me, "Connor . . ." I cut him off before he could say anything else,

"Checking up on me?" I blurted and he just smiled, nodding.

"Yeah. He also said he might be coming back at the end of next week." Caine repremended and I nodded. I could hold out for an extra week. It's not like a whole century. Then why was it eating inside me. I really missed him.

"Any luck with the rogues then?" I asked instead of trying to let my mind wonder.

"No. He's still in a bind and it didn't make it better that Maria showed up . . ." he stopped as if to had said something wrong. He looked at me, his face gone ashen. Who was Maria? I raised an eyebrow, "Maria?" I asked without sounding curious. It could of just been someone from long ago. It didn't work and Caine could tell, "She's just part of the pack." he was lying. Instead of trying to ask him who Maria was, I changed the subject, "I was wondering if you were doing anything tomorrow night?" I asked.

"Nope. Just patrolling and watching over you, why?" he asked and I shrugged my shoulders, "Oh nothing, just wondering." I replied. He turned away and paid attention to the TV. The real reason for me asking was to find a way to go out with Gina and Jamie to the club. I called Jamie yesterday and wanted to see if she was down to go with us. At first, she sounded hesitant but ended up saying she'd go. Now to do it without Caine knowing or without Brody finding out. Only person I knew who could plan anything would be Gina. I'd leave it up to her.

"I'm going to head to bed. See you tomorrow morning. Be up early so we can head to the Bronx." I said and he nodded. I walked up the stairs and into my room. I grabbed my lap top and checked my email and nothing. I Shut it off and set it on my night stand. I went into the restroom, took a shower, brushed my teeth, threw on some PJ's and got into bed. The last thing on my thoughts was Connor. I missed him.
