I walked inside the dim-lit temple, shaking. Behind me Cervus stepped in and converted into a person. He was wearing all black clothes, black boots, and a cowl covering his whole face, except for his eyes.

People appeared from the shadows whispering, "Deg," which means, "Welcome."

The man, who used to be Cervus, spoke in English, "Hello, Matthew, welcome to Night Shadow's Temple. I am, Dominus Elehus, but you can call me Elehus. Dominus means master, and Elehus is my name. I am the leader of the Conjurers. You are Discipule Matthew, which means, apprentice Matthew."

"Thank you, Elehus. It is an honor to meet you," I replied.

"Come with me," Elehus said as he walked away, and into a crack in the ebony wall. "You will need this," he said, as he handed me an amulet. "Wear it Discipule, it will translate our language to your language, so you don't need a dictionary. Everyone else has one too, even I do, so whatever you say in your language it will translate into the language that the person speaks that you are talking to."

"Ok, thank you," I replied, putting the ebony amulet on.

"Go now, meet the other Discipules, you have training in the morning."

"How do I know if they are Discipules?"

"They will have gloves on."

"Why?"

"They have gloves because they can't control the magic, as much as the others. Oh! That reminds me, here are your gloves, clothes, cowl, socks, and boots, change in the Discipules' room," Elehus said, as he turned around and grabbed a stack of clothes.

"Ok, where is that?"

"Zheolu will show you, I'll bring him in," Elehus said. He left the room and came back a minute later with Zheolu.

"Hello, Matthew. I am Zheolu, I'll show you to the Discipules' room," Zheolu said. Zheolu was tall and skinny, and wore the same clothes that I have to put on. Zheolu led me to another crack in the ebony wall, the crack was smaller than the other crack that led to, which I guess was, Elehus' room.

The Discipules' room was lit by a single candle in the back of the large room. There four beds lining the left wall and four beds lining right wall. The beds are made out of ebony, but have feathers on top of the ebony, to make it softer.

"The right side of the room is where the women sleep, and the left is where the men sleep. The bed farthest from the crack on the right is where Zeabekh sleeps, next to her is where Yyrin sleeps, the bed next to her is where Belune sleeps, and the bed closest to the crack is where Agrith sleeps. The bed farthest from the crack on the left side is where you will sleep, next to yours is where I sleep, next to my bed is where Foxius sleeps, and the bed closest to the crack is where Varis sleeps," Zheolu told me and he showed me the room. "You can put your stuff in the dresser next to your bed, and you can change in here. I'll be in the eating room, which is where everyone else should be now. It's the crack in between Dominus Elehus' room and the Conjurers' room, which is across our room. The Eating Room is the brightest crack. It's the room with the most light. Come in there when you're dressed. By the way, the bathroom is the crack in between Elehus' room, and our room," Zheolu said as he walked out of the room.

I hesitantly walked over to my bed and sat down on it. I have never had to share a room before, so it's going to be different. I put by backpack in the bottom drawer and took off my shoes and socks. The floor was cold, like I thought it was going to be. The temperature in the temple is around forty degrees, but the ebony stone makes it seem colder. I got dressed and almost tripped over someone as I was walking out of the room.
