It was a beautiful day on Splash Mountain. The river was flowing and the critters were laughing.

Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox and Brer Bear were taking a hike in the woods with their good friend Chad Stuart.

Chad was trying really hard to keep the Brers entertained, but seemed unsuccessful.

"There's another pine tree! Isn't it thrilling?" he said with enthusiasm.

Brer Fox looked annoyed. "Only if dare's pres'nts under it."

"Yeah, Brer Chad. Nom'ly I likes hikin' wid you. But I's givin' diss wun a big..." Brer Bear blew a raspberry.

"An' dat's on a scale frum" Brer Fox gagged, "Ter, eh."

Brer Rabbit turned around and got excited when he saw a patch of mud on the ground. "Hoo-hoo! Mud!"

Chad scoffed. "So mud gets a 'hoo-hoo!' while my pine trees get a..." he blew a raspberry.

Brer Bear knelt down and examined the mud. "Good consistency... texture on poin'... noss viscosity..." he tasted the mud. "Robust flavah"

"Shud we be wer'd bout Brer Bear?" said Brer Rabbit.

"We shud alw's be wer'd bout Brer Bear" said Brer Fox.

"Fellers, diss is de perf't mud fo slide'n" said Brer Bear.

"Slide'n in mud? Dat'd be a nice change. Brer Jeremy don't like us gettin' messy. He once made me eat ribs in de showah. Dat did nuthin fo de flavah" said Brer Rabbit.

"Slide'n in de mud duz soun' fun. De only ting we really slide in on diss mount'n is de rivah" said Brer Fox.

"No no no, Brers. It's dangerous" said Chad. "Mud has rocks, sticks, and you could slide too far and hurt yourself" said Chad.

"Okay" Brer Bear stood up. "Bye, mud. See ya latah. In ma dreams."

"He wants to dream about mud?" whispered Chad.

"Ya tink dat's de weirdest ting bout Brer Bear?" said Brer Fox.

"Yeah. He thot ya could make a dolla a minnit by hangin' frum a pole" said Brer Rabbit.

"Ya sed you wuz keepin' de crows out de co'nfield" said Brer Bear.
